Who's better? Who would you take if you were building a team? Why? :g:

CP3.
I think he has that killer mentality that's needed that will turn an all-star caliber player into an all-time great player.... see Bryant comma Kobe

I gotta go with Deron. He's got the size/durability advantage. Their passing abilities are a wash as their numbers are just about the same, so to me it comes down to the more efficient offensive player (Deron) or the better pickpocket (CP3) AND their head-to-head matchups (Which Deron has owned).
I'd have to go with DWill. The size and efficiency win out for me.
It'd obviously depend on other factors, but in a vaccuum, D-Will.

Passing yes, scoring CP.Here are the head to head matchup games in more detail 08-09 season in 3 games:
CP3
34 mins
23 ppg 57fg%
8.7 apg
3.3 rpg
2.7 to
1.0 spg
D-Will
33.3 mins
16.3 ppg 60fg%
10.7 apg
3.0 rpg
1.7 to
1.0 spg
Pretty much a wash either way, granted that 2 of those games were played in Utah(win) and 1 in New Orleans(loss) yeah not much difference there
cp3 does more with a lot less.

MARVEL: CP3 scores more, but he also takes more shots. Deron (as I said earlier) is the more efficient scorer so he makes the best of the shots he takes. He never really has to though with Boozer, Okur, Brewer, and the like. But whenever he wants to take over, he will flat out put a hurting on people.
CHEF: Does more in what sense?
d-will has a much better cast around him. no way he wins 57 games two years ago with new orleans. he has better shooters, better offensive players and a much better coach/system. paul made chandler look really good. for what's it worth, i wouldn't take any other point guard over d-will except paul. even if i could only have them for one year not nash, harris, rondo.
chef, what about West? And they had Brandon Bass too, I think. And Peja. Not a horrible team by any stretch.

Well with that, couldn't you say that Deron playing on a good team, yet still getting 20/10 is just as good as CP3 doing it with a greater workload?
In Deron's first year, Boozer put up his usual numbers over his first few years in the league, their second year together, and every year since, Booze has been a 20/10 guy. Great improvement.
Before Deron came to town, Okur averaged about 9/6. Since then, he has become an 17/8 guy. Great improvement.
overall boozer, okur, brewer, ak are a much stronger cast. all are in their primes and overall better than an very aged peja, chandler, and west. i would take boozer over west, okur over chandler and brewer over whoever no's 2 guard is/was.
again, i have no doubt williams has made each one of these players much better. like i said, i would take williams over every other pg in the league without question.

CP is the best PG in the league, hands down. He is a sure hall of famer if he ever is surrounded by a decent team.
DWill is great, and a top 5 PG in the league, but comparing him to CP is like comparing Danny Granger to Lebron James.

Paul had a higher PER in his rookie season than Williams' has ever had.

D Will better than Nash, Jason Kidd, Chauncey Billups, Harris, Parker, and Arenas?
I'm sure atleast one of those is on the same level as D-Will.

Arenas? Not as good as he used to be
Harris? Great, but not THAT great
Billups? Was never a top 3 PG
JKidd? Washed up, man
Nash? Hmm. He's awesome, but I'd still take D-Will
And please help me, my brain must not be functioning, but Parker??

the only pg i can think of that I would even consider for just one season would be nash. rondo would be in the discussion if he could shoot but he is so bad at that part of the game that you can back off of him from 12 feet out.
