Danny Granger is out, but The Pacers have still won 2 of their last 3, they are 5-6 at home and we are the not so proud owners of the 2nd worst road record in the league 1-10, behind the New Jersey Nets... So this is by no means an "easy win".
In the enemy's game thread (http://pacersdigest.com/showthread.php?t=49128) they are feeling confident tonight
There aren't many games that I absolutely expect to be a win. This is one of them.
What do you think?

What do you think? The Cats have done really well against the Pacers over the years, and despite the attrocious road record, this is the best team we've ever had as our record indicates, so I think any Pacers fan that expects a win tonight is nuts. Don't get me wrong; it won't be easy, and we could very well lose and it wouldn't surprise me, but I don't see how they expect a win against us.
I don't know, I'm still feeling the high from last night's game (Jack's dunk....oh shit!!!) so I might be overly optimistic, but I like our chances.

I think the problem with Crash is not his relentless attacking ability on offense but his inability or lack of court awareness to know that the weakside defense will be there when he beats his man off the dribble, thus getting called for offensive fouls.PP,Wade,Kobe are masters at it......... when they beat their man they know exactly what to do against weakside help D.Crash needs to go straight up or hesitation dribble around the help D but he goes straight into the defender........just saying.
My feed is lagging too

Jordan had his tounge out, Crash has his mouthpiece out. Thats professional image management.

When you play the Pacers; the ONE thing you can't do is let Troy Murphy and Mike Dunleavy take uncontested 3's. They'll kill you everytime.
It really isn't that complicated.
I found myself yelling at Steve Martin and Dell Curry on the TV for sounding so surprised that those guys would actually keep making wide open shots. Duh. Man, I'm sorry our announcers are taking homer lessons this year.
Even if TJ Ford is playing at the top of his game; no way you triple team him in the paint.
The stupidity is beyond the point of exhaustion for me. I keep watching, but damn it's painful.
I got so angry during the Knicks game last night that I yelled "COME ON FUCKERS!" from my seat during the 3rd Quarter. I hope they didn't hear me, but I think a couple of the assistant coaches might have. No more beer at halftime for me. We are no where NEAR good enough to coast and then come back in the 4th quarter. Just cuz we did it to the Knicks doesn't mean we can do that against anyone else. This is all true. And it made it such a painful game to watch, I quit halfway through the 3rd 'til halfway through the 4th because the anger and frustration were rising too much.
I was amazed they closed it down to 3 and had two chances to tie at the end, but fuckall if they could make a 3 tonight. It's great that they've developed a homecourt advantage and all, but if they have any desire to become a playoff team, as they say they do, they need to grow a pair and get it done on the road. There is no excuse to be this inept. I know I overestimate the ability of the team, but 1-11 and counting is absolutely insane.
Also, great rant, Keetch! I was so pissed last night I didn't give my first second half applause til 4 or 5 minutes left in the game.

I thought DJ was terrible. He should be able to defend TJ Ford (they are the same player). He fouled a three point jump shot, fouled troy murphy on a turn around jumper from the post (just let him have it you are 2 feet shorter and not going to affect the shot unless you just hold him down) and fouled tj ford with 2 seconds left on the shot clock.
on a brighter note, we couldn't throw it in the ocean last night but our foul shooting and taking it to the hole kept us close. the way we played d, we should have lost by 15 but almost had it. granted, they are terrible, but this would not have happened last year.

^ Bonnell's Blog:
-- It says too much about D.J. Augustin's lost season that he missed his first six shots, yet finished with nine points and six assists, and this is considered progress
I thought he did ok in the 2nd half, but compared to the other games hopefully this is progression.
In the timeout before that last possession, coach Larry Brown emphasized that whoever caught the inbounds pass had to shoot it – there'd never be time for anything else. Forward Boris Diaw disregarded that when Pacers guard T.J. Ford jumped at him, swinging the ball to D.J. Augustin.
Augustin made the 3-pointer, but there was never a question the ball left his hands after the buzzer. And Diaw's brain cramp wasn't what bothered Brown most.
"We've got to set the tone defensively'' to win a road game, Brown said. "They just scripted plays. Mike Dunleavy had 12 points in the warmup!''

I didn't get a good look at the 1st half (no link and then a very draggy one) but if Felton was letting TJ dribble/drive into the paint like it appears then that's going to happen all day long. Guys are going to try and cover and their guy (like Murphy or Dung) will leak out to the 3 line...and they delivered.

Jackson takes to many shots and not only that he mixes in to many bad shots. They are both turnover machines. Jackson is a little better as a 1 on 1 defender but he seems to commit stupid fouls at times. He is a talent for sure but he does not play like a vet which is disturbing because he is old enough to be a vet.

I don't understand the Steven Graham hate. He usually falls right into the flow of the game, he makes few mistakes, and he's a pretty good defender and rebounder. I really don't mind giving him 5-15 minutes a night.

Stevie's a pretty marginal player, but you know you're probably right; he doesn't deserve the venom so much. It's more that I want to see Henderson and Brown.
...and Murray's giving me flashbacks of McInnis now. I know they're different players, but the situation has just brought up those memories anyway.

Shocker --- short bench and we lose. Any reason why Hendo and Brown got DNP's last night? I have not seen the box score for every game this year nor do I recall every single game, but I do feel like when we use our bench we fare better. Not to say the rooks are studs, but they do their jobs and help the vets get some rest. This is where LB disappoints me... trying to out-think or over-coach a game.

Ray didn't look good defensively or offensively. His ankle was bothering him pretty bad. He also got in early foul trouble and was not very agressive defensively. TJ knew Ray was ailing and took advantage of it. He also took DJ to the rack.
