Eh, that's pretty much expected.

Portland COULD have gotten Jax for pennies on the dollar (we did) so why would they want to give up a guy in Batum that they didn't want to trade for Crash last year (we wanted Batum, Lafrenz for Crash/Nazr)...and they really wanted Crash.

Right now Rubio is like hidden gold to the Minny fans. They won't want to move him unless it's a star due to all that potential they're sure RUbio has.

It is never a great move to aquire more potential. Rubio might not even come over next year or who knows. These things have a history of turning out bad. Even when you draft a young kid like Randolph or Ajinca you get no rewards for developing them and if they do start getting good they want a big contract. Min can keep him if they are so high on him.

it cracks me up to see that we would be giving up our 2 best players and getting rubio in return (not to mention starting ray at the 2). if we were giving up both jax and crash, we better be getting rubio, another developing player/star AND a lottery pick. how could we honestly be giving up our team without getting a pick in return?
