A Letter to Larry Brown

PLEASE STAY!!!!!!!

That's all.

No but seriously over the past 3 Seasons we haven't had any continuity with our head coach. Of course Bikerstaff was gonna go and NOBODY wanted Ham Biscuit to stay. But all these coaching changes can't be good. At least stay till after next season. After that do whatever you want.

I know I'm beating a dead horse here, but it just irks me...could Rick's editor mention to him that it's Ok to be positive occasionally? (To be fair, he is positive occasionally. It's just given the choice, he goes doom and gloom 90% of the time, it seems).

1. Team Sold: While I agree we're not going to become the Lakers overnight, I think this will be viewed as a much bigger positive by the local fan base than Rick does. I am also not convinced that Bob-o is going to sell.
2. LB could be gone: Last I checked, "could" is not a prediction. The team could win the title. I could run off with Lady Cat Jordan and Scarlet Johansson. This "prediction" wreaks of fear mongering, hence the comments about the Observer being negative all the time.
3. Diaw looking out of place: Can't disagree here
4. Felts or DJ gone: I don't really agree but at least he's taking a stand. I don't see DJ going anywhere on his rookie contract but Felts might want more money than we are willing/able to give him.
5. No All Star game for Crash: Here is my bold prediction. If he plays like he has been, Crash is an all-star this year. I think he's making an impression on all the Eastern Conf coaches and he's going to get the nod.

Wish you'd post more FFP...your insights are always good. I pretty much agree with all you wrote except the part about you and Jordan/Scarlett. I think hell would freeze over before that happens! :p

With LB I think it'll depend on whether the team is sold and Jordan remains a part.

Thanks. I read just about everything but only chime in when things are different. There are a lot of the same discussions that occur time and time again just with minor twists. I am not creative, funny, smart or witty enough to take part in the same discussion a dozen times. I am constantly amazed and impressed with the persistance and emotion the very frequent posters have on this site. I don't know how everyone does it but kudos to you all.

Jesus Christ. I know living in Boone you're probably set up for that but damn. That sucks any way you look at it.

LOL...I did not mean to hijack my own thread...my weather issues are my own whatever the cause (lack of sunspot activity this year is what I hear swedd...LOL)...

Bonnell at least makes a "stab" at something...he actually wrote a couple of good articles (IMO) recently...and I don't disagree with much about his "predictions"...

LB (to me) seems (with all the really poor rotations this year) to be coaching with his mind somewhere else...and he has never been great (and I mean great not sorta OK) at developing young players...and as a franchise I think that is something we need in a coach as well as a solid team philosophy...I have no problems being a "D" first team but would like more creativity with the offense...

I think he (Bonnell) is correct about the team (if it happens) changing ownership...that is a real dual-edge sword (IMO) but I doubt any more "real" money would be spent than is being spent...
