NBATV just gave an extended interview to Gerald. All announcers tonight calling him a lock for the All-Star Team. Lot's of minutes on the Grizzlies game, showing Gerald's game ending sky-block and walk-off tip-in. Awesome!

Agree, Eric Snow and Harpring both said they think he should be a lock. He was also in 2 of the Saturdays Top 10 Highlights, and mentioned in a 3d for Hustling.
Good to see some love for him and us. Loved his Arena Link Interview tonight.

That's the interview. Somebody needs to get to GW and let him know how to handle tv interviews...it seems like he isn't used to them! :p

Why? I think he's doing great.
He just seemed a little akward with them, interrupting and such. Nothing glaring or major (especially for an NBA player) but just some stuff that needs polish.

Great interview. I thought he did very well, and showed how much he cares about this team making the playoffs. Showed himself to be a true team leader.

Those interviews can't be that easy. There's sure to be somewhat of a delay.
Crash is the man.

my friends and i joke about the acoustics at TWC , the announcer is always doing that echo thing. I met the announcer and asked him to do it and he wouldnt, so i told him i would show him how it's done, letting out a big "DEEEEE JAAAAAAAYYYYY 3 3 3!".....he said i needed some work.

Just an FYI...Bill Ingram of Hoopsworld is in Charlotte and is following the Bobcats this week at least thru the Heat game.
His pre/during/after on last night:
Sacramento Kings at Charlotte Bobcats, 01/18/2010 - Bill Ingram (http://www.hoopsworld.com/Blogs/CourtsideBlog.asp?GAME_ID=36688&LEAGUE_CODE=NBA)
Great find spectre...+1
Do you have any idea why Ingram is following the team now?

I think he's the defacto Hoopsworld guy for the Cats. He's mainly covers Houston, but I think Hoopsworld is probably just spreading their guys out.
He did this last year too for 2 or 3 games. He did individual interviews with a lot of the guys...hopefully he'll do the same this year.
...any coverage is helpful...

Email from Ingram:
Everyone loves Jax - will be doing a feature on that later this week.
So there will be more to come.

I don't know if anyone else caught this but the other night on NBA TV after we beat the Suns the analysts were handing out their own mid season awards.
Cheryl Miller said that Jax is the "best addition" and even more shockingly she named us - The Charlotte Bobcats - as the "team to watch."
I know it's just the opinion of kooky ass Cheryl but it was still probably the most positive press I've heard concerning the Bobcats.

NBA: Who's Hot? Who's Not? - Hoopsworld (http://www.hoopsworld.com/Story.asp?story_id=15014)
Who's Hot?
Eastern Conference Rookie: Derrick Brown, Charlotte Bobcats – Sure, Brown did his damage this week in a blowout win over Phoenix but the 6-8 forward out of Xavier continued to play well when he gets significant minutes. Brown scored a career-high 18 points on Saturday against the Suns while making 5-11 field goals and going 8-8 from the free throw line, chipping in two steals in 29 minutes of action. In all, Brown set or tied seven career-highs and the Bobcats were a perfect 2-0 this week.
~snip~
Eastern Conference Team: Charlotte Bobcats – The Bobcats (19-19) are at .500 for the first time since Nov. 7, when they were 3-3, after the team's 3-0 week pushed its win streak to four. Charlotte is currently in seventh place in the Eastern Conference after beating Houston, San Antonio and Phoenix (all three of which would make the playoffs if the season ended today) while allowing an average of just 89.7 points and holding the Suns below 100 points for just the sixth time this season. This was a huge week for a young Charlotte franchise.

My sleep has been screwed up ever since the holiday. If there's not a game on I end up passing out early then waking up early.
Getting old I guess.
Funny how winning can make you "old and hyper" (for a fan that is) at the same time...:o
