Lets break this down:

Case #1
http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w301/bobcatsplanet/spurs20dance.jpg

Now the chick on the left is solid, a clear 8.7 out 10, not supermodel worthy but it is San Antonio and ummm that's probably about the best that we could hope for.

Chick on the bottom has a very pretty face but in that particular pose we can't see her body so we have to give her an incomplete

Chick on the right is a 7.4. See the nose (as if you could miss it)

Chick in the top middle. Believe me, I'm a sensitive guy, so I'm trying to put this in the kindest terms possible. Here goes: How does a chick with that disturbingly oblong shaped head get to become an NBA dancer... even in San Antonio? :g: She my friends is a 5.6

Case #2

http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w301/bobcatsplanet/spurs-silver-dancers01.jpg

At first glance you would look at this dancer and say she is nice looking, but after a closer look, you notice that something is missing. SHE HAS NO CURVES. Gentlemen, she is working with an anti-badonkadonk. 7.7, Absolutely no junk in the trunk people.

Case #3

http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w301/bobcatsplanet/6a01156f2c3287970c01287609199a970c-.jpg

This dancer has potential, she found the badonkadonk that Case#2 was missing. Unfortunately I can only rate her a 3.4 because since it's San Antonio her face probably looks like this:

Oh yeah... The game

Bobcats win 94-89 and improve their home record to 15-4

^Aren't the last two Spurs dancers the same chick? And that bottom one is from OKC :D

I'd love to see us win, but SAS is getting it together and they beat us fairly handly in SA. I'm going Spurs 87, Bobcats 80.

They're 8-2 last 10 games and they're playing really well. Maybe if we can play great D for say 3 quarters instead of just one half we'd stand a better chance?

Either way...DICK Head plays with these guys...so it's a must win.

I'm at work so I can't do it...but someone needs to counterbalance Zig's OP with some Ladycats' hotness mighty quick!

No one shows up because the Spurs are damn boring to watch.

However, people turn up anyway to see if they can get lucky and watch Manu Ginobilli break his ankles again from a tiny little jump.

My prediction, Cats win
81-77

This one is going to be tough .
They beat us in San Antonio once this year .
I don't really like our match ups . We need to stay big and hit the boards well.
I think Felton holds Parker down if we don't try to dubble down with him.
I don't see us matching up well at all on Duncan and if Blair and Duncan are both on the floor at the same time does cause match up problems.

I think we win at the two and the three with JAX and Wallace.
We got to speed the game up trap force turnovers. They more physical and have a hudge advantage inside .

Keys to a win , force turnovers. , limit offence boards, game pace.
I really don't think they can,t run with us . But i don't think we can win a half court game.

I do know the cable box is going crazy tomorrow night .

It seems like an exercise in futility every time out against SAS, but we've never had a team or momentum going into a game against the Spurs as we have later tonight.

As a defensive mechanism, I'm always cautiously pessimistic, so I think think this is likely going to be a loss, but if we can grind it out long enough with them, and keep it close to the end, well, then the magic starts for the Cats...

But either way, being able to boo Dick Head is always a special treat and something to look forward to in and of itself.

We really need everyone to play well and a big night from the likes of Flip or Dj to compete with SA's bench depth. I'm going tonight, hope the scalpers are good to me.

Timmy is rested. Will be tough. Must stop Manu and we have a good chance. As much as I like TP, Manu is the engine that runs that team to victory.

Cats: 93
Spurs:89

I'm worried about every game but esp. this one. I think the Spurs have now won 9 out of their last 11. That has to be right up there with the best current winning streaks in the league.

Either way...play hard and give it our all and I'll be content.

Tim Duncan needs a walker and orthopedic shoes with his old ass. Manu is really the X factor in the game. He's the one that keep them in the last game, A game that we should have won. Cats win if the Refs don't start cheating.

Alrite...7 point lead after 3! That's a very good sign...usually vs the Spurs they'll get a 5-7 point lead and maintain it til the end, exerting just enough energy to keep it for the win. In that 3rd quarter we were putting out the energy and were rewarded with the lead!

CUT OFF THE HEAD!

Lockdown defense killed the Spurs!

As good as Duncan is, he cannot carry the Spurs at this stage in the game. Take out Parker and things fall in place. Add in an invisible Manu and you have domination.

THAT Boris Diaw is the guy who makes this team a SERIOUS player as we have nobody who you can completely discount offensively. He spreads the floor and it will open things up for everyone. The man also played serious defense and hit the boards!

This is all I have been asking of Boris since last year. Not the 26pts so much as the 14 attempts (especially the quick, no thought process 3's he launched). When he is looking for his shot on offense we are very dangerous b/c the lane becomes that much softer for the drive and when you have a slashing Crash, pentrating Ray and Jack looking to create in the paint.....anybody in the league can get the smack down at the Cable Box

just finished watching this game via DVR, this was a phenomenal defensive effort. If we can do this to a team like the Spurs then we are going to demolish some of the lesser teams this season.

Feels good man :)

Got to give props to Diaw after criticizing him so much this season. He still has no lift off his feet; but he's playing good ball at the moment.

Same for Murray. Though he's prone to losing his guy on defense; he's evolving into a killer on offense in the 2nd half of games.

For the first time this season I was happy to see Stephen Graham enter the game; because I knew he wouldn't back down from anybody.

OMG what the hell am I saying?! :xplode:

Don't know if this has been mentioned; but anyone notice that DJ is putting on weight? He definitely is beginning to fill out thicker and stronger. Can only be good.

We are all WITNESS to CRASH. We are not worthy.

Great game. I was surprised in a way that we won, but I'm happy that we did.

Positives to note:
-Diaw...Played great defense, scored and rebounded. Needs to do this more often to help spread the floor.
-Auggie and Felton did great driving in and then dishing it out.
-Defense was stiffling. We utterly locked down Duncan+Blair.
-DeeJay got a nice hunk of playing time
-Hendo managed to get out onto the court
-Our bench played good
-Big steal and coast to coast dunk by Wallace. Wish the guy didn't move out of the way, would of been a massive posterizing dunk.

Negatives:
-Manu Ginobilli didn't break any of his ankles so we can laugh at the flopping tool:(

Surreal. Absolutely kicked the shit out of the team that I have the most respect for (can't stand them, but damn, they're a well-oiled machine for years and years now) and Pop, who I think is by far the best coach in the league. I mean, we got Pop to wave the white flag with 4 and a half minutes left for crying out loud!!!

I would compare this game to last year's PHX game in that it was an unexpected ass-whuppin', but tonight's game is even more improbable because the Spurs are so much better than last year's Suns it's laughable. This is, no hyperbole, arguably the most impressive win ever by the Cats. Sure there are other contenders, but this game has to be in the discussion.

Boris. Wow. He followed up what I thought was a great performance against HOU with a magnificently glorious game tonight.....on both ends. I mean, shit, he owned Timmy tonight, once again, on both ends of the court. By my calculations, that is 4 out of the last 5 games from Boris with at least a solid contribution. This could be the return of the Boris I fell in love with last year....not keeping my fingers crossed, but delighted at the prospect.

Also, massive defense from both Raymond and DJ on their backcourt. Tony Parker who? George Hill what? Fabulous job, guys. Fabulous!

Also, the swarming team defense and utilizing Coach Smith's patented half-court trap to perfection made this Spurs team as uncomfortable as I've ever seen them at full strength. They really were a rattled bunch which led to the second half shooting slump, I belive.

Play of the game for me was Gerald ripping the ball right out of Timmy's hands in the 3rd, saving the ball from going out of bounds to start a fast break. I'll be honest, I don't even remember what happened with that possession, but GW's tenacity there, and the look on Timmy's face was a beautiful moment and signaled the coming of the end from the Spurs on this night.

Let's keep this train rolling along, baby.

I wonder if that "talk" looked something like this?

I'm glad as hell that the "talk" worked. With Boris playing the way that he is playing we are on a completely different level.

spectre
01-16-2010, 08:21 AM
Heh, I can see that...esp. since we're talking Jax here! It sure would be nice to see/catch those interviews...we're missing some serious info without it.

Anyone catch that defensive board both Crash & Boris went after where they lost it out of bounds? Looked like Crash had it and Boris caused the TO...but at any rate right after they were talking, and from the looks of Boris' face it looked like he said something like "WTF...I thought you wanted me fighting for boards?". Crash..."Yeah, but not against ME.".

Probably not.

Good recap as usual Beagle...love reading your after game thoughts.

Felton needs a huge shout out for his D vs. Parker...and right after some stellar D vs. Brooks the game before. In a lotta instances the opposing PGs just couldn't get the ball, and that was due to Felton riding them like a glove. I'm thinking all that effort he's putting out on defense has affected his shot somewhat; it's not looked as relaxed as it has been the previous games.

BRNC
01-16-2010, 11:47 AM
Diaw needed (and deserved) a good ass-kicking...I'm just a little surprised it took Jax so long to do it...Jax wants to win...now...:paddle:
