^ can these people ever catch a break?
Why the hell did I sneer as I was reading the news?
If I believed in curses, the Clippers would be the first one I'd accept.
And to think this team is actually playing respectable this year. I'm sure the entire Clippers organization had high hopes considering their good play this year, I'm sure the thought was if they played like this things would only get better once Blake came back. But yeah, Clippers curse much?

I'm 28, been watching basketball since I was 14. The Clippers have sucked my entire basketball life.

with the exception of the sam cassell/ 2nd round of the playoffs team, i can't remember a single good thing about the clips either.

I can't understand why the Clippers are so bad. They've had lottery picks for years now. They haven't had horrible players but even the Cats have more respect from the league then the Clips. The Maine Red Claws have more of a fan base then the Clippers.

From Hollinger's chat.
Sean (La La Land)
Do you believe in the clippers curse? *cough* griffin....
John Hollinger (12:25 PM)
Of course not. This was just bad luck. Better question: If you're John Wall do you just go ahead and get the microfracture out of the way now? Not a great era to be a No. 1 overall pick, eh?

I wouldn't feel too sorry for the Clippers. Kaman is playing at an all-star level this year, he wouldn't be with Griffin clogging up the lane further and lessening his shots.
So in a way I can feel sorry, but then I don't due to Kaman.

If the Clippers are cursed....Who put the voodoo on them? With Boston not winning a world series for 70 some yrs they atleast had Babe Ruth to blame for the bad luck. I wonder who cursed the Clippers into possibly being the worst franchise on sports history.

Thanks for this link Teej. This was fascinating and yet sad. It makes the Bobcats futility seem like they are the Lakers when compared to the Clippers. What I can not figure out is how Elgin Baylor kept his job so frigging long. I am also amazed at how the Clippers have any fans at all. I do have an underdog go for the little guy mentality so I would love to see the Clippers win an NBA title. Of coarse that is only if my favorite TEAMS are in no way able to compete for a title.
I am thrilled with the NFL playoffs. The Vikings lost four Super Bowls in the 70's and the Saints have been to the playoffs a few times since the 90's but are in no way a team with a winning tradition. The Jets fans have had to deal with a lot of poor to mediocre seasons so if they win a title for the first time since Super Bowl 4 I would be happy for their fans.
On a side note. Though in general I am not a Grizzlies fan and do not root for them I am happy to see them winning. They remind me a lot of our Bobcats. Of coarse I would not want them to beat our Bobcats but if for some reason none of my favorite teams are in the playoffs either by getting knocked out or not making them I would pull hard for the underdog teams such as the Grizzlies.
^Yeah, what fascinates me is that Baylor thought he could sue for racial discrimination when he finally did get canned.
And yeah, I'm really happy to see the Grizz playing well, Z-Bo is finally maturing, just think if they hadn't drafted Thabeet.
