Thought you guys would want to see that. Hopefully no one has posted it yet.

I understand where LB is coming from, but really he should see the bigger picture and cut Jax, Crash, Felton and Flip's minutes, otherwise those key players will simply burn out. After all, sooner or later someone (most likely our
beloved Crash) will get an injury.

Who?

Oh yeah, that kid from Davidson or Duke or however you call that institute. What's his name again?

Interesting to hear Larry say he has been begging to trade away a guard (probably Acie) yet the FO has yet to make a move.

True pro. Love that attitude.

Anyone think he will be anything but a bench player for the next 2-3 years? Wouldn't it be better to move him now and get something that we need to help us more this year and next (like a PF or better C?).

Something that's kind of intrigued me is a WAS fan on the RGM trade board saying that they're willing to take 2010/2011 money back if they can get a young piece or a pick.

I'd really like to get Haywood.

Gana, Hendo, Diaw, Lexy, and two seconds for Haywood, Jamison, and Crittenton (who would be banned from the team)?

spectre...I doubt we keep Flip after this year...it might be a good thing (for Hendo) to get more time watching the games and developing his mid-range game...I expect him to play more...next if not this year...

I said the same thing on RGM BRNC, and Slam was quick to remind me there are a slew of SGs that will be UFAs next year...heh, he even played the "Raja Card". There will be a lot of open money next season at first glance, but after all the bigger FAs land I don't know that others will spend a whole lot for what's left. There very well might be another Flip like deal then too.

Heck, we might can even re-up Flip for 2yrs/4 million.

We're talking bench guy, and behind a player that pretty much demands 38-40 mpg. Flip gets about 21 mpg, but we have to remember he has handles (something LB says Hendo needs to work on) allowing him to play combo guard. In the next couple of years I don't know how Hendo's getting many minutes as he's pretty much a straight SG. I know he probably can play some SF...but we have UPS who also deserves minutes.

Teej...don't think they take on salary past next season. I was thinking maybe TC as the biggest piece or Nazr and expirings/assets.

Jamison, Haywood, and Oberto for TC, Hendo, Acie, and Lexy?

This could work from Saturday on.

They get two or three prospects (depending on how they value Lexy and Acie) and an expiring next year for a long term contract in Jamison (who isn't the future) and Hayood + Oberto's expirings.

spectre...I don't disagree with the logic but...we might not resign Flip...teams with cap money (for 2010), that miss "star players", might over-pay for second and third tier players...so we have no lock to sign Flip...and

The same teams (the Knicks come to mind) that miss out will be looking hard at Ray...so the combo guard stuff makes sense...we could easily lose Flip and Ray...a very solid reason to keep Hendo...at least for me...:g:

I wonder which guards LB wants moved. Has to be somebody at the 2 for Hendo to really play more. Maybe Jackson or Flip.

I like that, but adding Jamison without more might be a bit much. I think they figure he's bringing back the most.

Here's that thread on the RGM board I was talking about:

Help WASHINGTON start anew - RGM Trade Board (http://www.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=976820)

BRNC that could very well happen in regards to the 2nd/3rd tier FAs...but Hendo still can't cover the combo...so he's still regulated to very few minutes because of Jax.

Figure what a good backup PF would mean for us right now vs. a guy racking up DNP-CDs.

GoBobs I don't see us trading Jax at all right now.

spectre...the problem for me is this...I think Hendo is worth more than a back-up PF...I'm not trying to over-value him...I will point this out...draft picks that can come to the NBA and play defense from the get-go are few and far between...and Hendo can...and I think he has the "work ethic" to get better at all other aspects of his game...so IMO he has more value than a back-up type PF...it would have to be a youngish PF with some starter potential (at least) and I doubt that type player (UPS as a reference) would get much time from LB...and I've always been of the opinion that if you constantly trade young talent you eventually have none...not a good way to go IMO...

I'd rather use any combo of, AC/Lexy/Hulk, to get a back-up PF...and I think we can with them and not "give" away better players...I'd only trade Hendo/UPS if I'm getting back starter talent...

A conundrum. We have a player that's probably worth more than his value right now because he's getting no PT...and we can't up his value because of the guy ahead of him.

Expirings might get us something. Maybe near the deadline.

BRNC

I agree on the expirings...AC/Hulk should get someone of back-up quality...and if we have to throw in Lexy so be it...

I get the feeling Rod will not do a deal unless it is for a player (back-up PF) that will clearly help the team and we don't over-pay...and I'm all for that...

I think patience will be the only way we get a reasonable deal accomplished...and I give kudos to Rod for not reacting to an LB whim...yes we need a back-up PF so let me (Rod) do a deal that helps the team short term and not hurt it long term...I really hope this is the case!

W@e all know Josh Boone is being shopped by the Nets and we do not seem to be biting so Rod must have something more promising going on...at least I hope that is the case...

Man i'm thinking the same thing with Crash and Jax logging 40+ mins per game they're eventually going to burn out, unless LB starts going more than just 6-7 deep, and that's not going to happen unless the FO pull they head out their asses and start listening to what LB's saying.

I think we just have to be patient and wait and have faith in LB and Higgins.......

they will get a deal done when they find one we like. I think rod is getting smart enough now now to listen to lb and just wait till the right deal comes up and not get ripped off like we did with the gana trade. I hope we can get a trade off before the deadline but if we cant so be it cause then we can say we didnt get ripped off
