View Full Version : Bobcats @ Suns 26th

We got our beloved Bobbies, verse the Shaq-less Suns.
Two all-star caliber players we have to hold are Nash and Stoudemire.
Felton did a great job last time on Nash, but he'll still have a tough time.
Let's hope Doris Meow comes to play to defend Stoudy well.
Let's also hope TC doesn't flirt with a girl and actually watches the game.
I say we loose, 92 - 99

Hopefully our Bobcats can be back on track. I just get this feeling all the good times are set for a bit of a fall. I can see a losing streak extending as long as our teams longest winning streak. Maybe even longer. Let us hope the Bobcats don't let this losing thing happen any longer. A loss tonight could spell doom. This team is on a slippery slope and they are a bit inexperienced in dealing with success. How much they have matured will say a lot about where they will be by the half way point. Just my opinion.

If they plan on playing the same shitty defense they put out vs the Nuggets they might as well just come on back to Charlotte and forfeit the rest of the trip.

It doesn't seem to me the boys are playing with anywhere near the energy they had before the Hawks loss. Especially Crash and Jax...and Billups owned Felton last night; didn't expect that.
I didn't think they could keep up the pace of play they had going on. It was fricking intense. Now we need to figure out how to be consistantly good. Not easy when you're so thin at the 4 and 5 spots. It means our big 3 of Crash, Jax and Felts have to be focused for every game, especially Jax, jeez where'd he go?
And...Flip, Diop and Diaw can't go soft, as they tend to do.

Think the PT is starting to get to them (Jax/Crash)?
Crash & Felton at least have the ankle as an excuse...remember just 4 days ago Felton couldn't even put any weight on that ankle. IMO that' contributed to his rough play vs. Chauncey last night, but let's face it...when Chauncey wants to he can be one scary dude offensively. With Melo out it was pretty obvious he was wanting to.
Vs. Nash it's all about picks/screens. We previously have been doing great defending it (see last Suns' game), but unless we really dig deep from last game I expect this to be a lot different.
Ray and Crash are still hurting, and it's showing.
Jax, idk, he seems kinda out of it.
And the rest are just not trying. Unacceptable.

I'm really worried about this game. But I think we should get a win, it would be a close game I believe.

UPS got fouled twice, I want him to learn to take the ball up stronger. I'll give him a 1/2 on that facial.

Be prepared for some growing pains people. There is a bit of a slump going and this team is going to either rise or fall further from some adversity.

I'd still rather have him then Diaw, but yes Ray Allen and Jared Dudley can get AIDS and die together.

This one of those 1 of 10 games Boris plays well. It''s sad he can only play this well once in a while. Even the Suns play by play guy said as much. Maybe seeing his old boy friend J Rich has hyped himup. Raja is probably in the stands with pom pom's
I dont care if he did touch it or not, it makes up for those bullshit fucking fouls on Gerald!

This was a much needed win! Gotta hand it to the guys...when Crash fouled out we could have easily folded. Instead we tightened down on D and looked like the Cats have during their win streak!

Steve Nash 7-22 and 6 TOs.
I'll take that.
Wow. That was one fucking amazing game. Holy balls. I love you Stephen Jackson, in every non-homo way possible.
That was a total team effort, with no Tyson, no GW in ot, and we came out on top with some questionable officials.
FUCK YEA MOTHAFUCKAAAAAAAAAA.
Pardon my french, but Boris Diaw just kicked ass, so it's BCP French day.

wow i watched the whole game and the way we started off shooting I just knew we were in for along night, however after the start of the 2nd we started playing, third and fourth quarter we started shooting and S-Jax with a huge three with 19.9 seconds to go to send it to OT, Derrick Brown with some GREAT overtime defense Felton, and Diaw with some huge shots as well...great team game, Nazr was off all night and it was a shame as he could have really put this game out of reach

Charlotte committed four turnovers in the first half, one in the first 23 minutes and three in the final minute. Each of the last three was caused by Dudley, who tipped a pass to a teammate, stole another and drew an offensive foul

I was there! And what a game it was!
They really turned on the jets in the second half, and when Jackson hit that three to tie it up, the whole place (except for me ) was SILENT.
Huge win tonight. First in Phoenix, too, I believe.

Real proud of the fellows tonight. They played their butts off. Raymond played stellar defense in the overtime. Nash scored 23 points but took 22 shots and made 7 of them. He also had 6 turnovers. Raymond played with toughness tonight. 7 of 8 from the field with 2 steals, 4 boards, 4 rebounds. Jax made love to pressure and Diaw had one his best games. The free throws Raymond made were huge, because had he missed the lead would have been only 3.

Huge win tonight. First in Phoenix, too, I believe.Way to represent the Cats tonight! It was awesome to hear the reaction of the crowd over the television when Jack hit the 3....I can only imagine how cool it was to be there.
A magnificent team win and Massive Balls awards to Jack (for the aforementioned game-tying 3 near the end of regulation) and Flip for the OT dagger to make it a 6 point game, and Boris for clutch FTs, big block on Nash in OT, and an overall spectacular game! Due to it conflicting with the Tarheels game (and since wins are few and far between this year :( I had to watch them kick some Wolfpack fanny!!!) but I was able to catch all of the last 7 minutes of regulation and all of OT thankfully. I'm still in amazement over the supposed sixth foul on GW....WTF did he do?!?! Nash pulled on his jersey as he was cutting through, right? Wow. That was one of the worst calls I've ever seen considering the implications of it being an All Star's sixth foul, disqualifying him from a tight game.....just wow
But, yeah, it was just a lot of fun to watch the final 12 minutes of the game, see our boys gut it out and get win number four on the road. All in all, a very sweet sweet taste to make up for the bitter drink of the night before.
GO CATS!!!
EDIT: Forgot to mention.....only 12 TOs in 53 minutes!!! Beautiful!

Amazing effort. Cats really needed this win to stop the slide. Back to .500 with a couple very winnable road games coming up next.

“In the fourth quarter, we defended great. We contested shots and defended as well as we could,” said Bobcats Head Coach Larry Brown. “Without Gerald, I thought Derrick (Brown) came in and did a great job defensively. Our whole team was able to close it out – Jack made some big shots and Flip made some big shots, but I thought the defense gave us a chance to win.”
“The fact that Raymond is one of the few guys that can keep Steve from penetrating at will really helped us, because he’s so effective at getting everybody involved,” said Brown. “You’re never going to stop him, but I thought we did as good of a job as we possibly could on him. I’m just proud of my team.”
Always interesting to hear LB's POV.
I agree...the defense in the 4th/OT is what won the game. Even better, we did it with adversity (Crash fouling out)...not to mention fighting the Suns' 6th man in zebra stripes.
Hopefully they've rediscovered their perimeter D.
this game gets my vote as most entertaining of the year. i enjoyed all the way through, exciting, up and down, matching shots. plus we got the win for the cherry on top.

Winning games in the face of adversity is a huge part of our development. The playoffs is all about who can dig deeper than the other equally talented teams.
