Sean May is the punchline to approximately 536 fat jokes but in the bigger picture of what is going to happen on the court tonight, he is irrelevant. The guy that we need to worry about tonight is Tyreke Evans. You remember him, the guy that almost single handedly brought the Kings back from 20+ points down in the second half on MLK day? Yeah, that guy. We need Stephen Jackson to make love to some lockdown defense so we want have that kid go off on us again.

How do you guys see tonight's game? Will we get a 2nd straight road win? As you know, that always makes the tossed salad man happy :biggrin:

That will never happen - he is who he is. Generally an inefficient scorer but when he gets hot look out and if you dont respect his shot he will get hot so he spreads the floor for us which has enabled GW to have the year he is having

I wasn't happy with what I saw but the way this team plays on the road so far we are holding our own. It wasn't a pretty half but lately the 2nd half is when the Cats take control. A total reversal of the past Cats gameplay.

They are running such big lineups, the smallest guy on the floor is 6'6 most of the time, DJ doesn't have a prayer on defense. Those two BS fouls they called on Felton could really hurt us if he picks up another. Flip running the point is something we don't want to see much of.

Great 3rd Quarter, 4th wasn't too flashy but I understand.

4th quarter slump was probably due to fatigue. LB has been playing our starters HUGE minutes, and it was bound to happen somewhat.

It was good to see UPS get 20 mins, great for his devo. No Hendo love though.

A great win, managed to hold down Martin to some extent, and Evans also.

Great game by Crash and Mohammed to carry us when Jax and Felton were having off shooting nights.

The guys were obviously fatigued...that's what 40 mpg over time will do for you.

Felton did have a terrible shooting night, but his defense was absolutley stlellar. During that Kings' run he blocked Sergio on a drive and then stripped him the next time.

Crash was just flat out great. He continues to log the minutes and when Jax isn't on he puts it in 5th gear.

I know Larry is a disciple of the Great Coach Smith, but the pre-shot clock college game is light years away from the 24 second shot clock in the NBA....when you call of the dogs with a full quarter to go, you're not only playing with fire, you're asking for the opposing team to make it closer.

Boris made two stupid TOs that I remember, but he wasn't terrible. Phenomenal game from Naz....sort of confused as to why he got no minutes in the 4th. He owned their bigs all night, and when he left, Thompson started to get going a little.

And very solid games from Derrick and Flip off the bench to offset a subpar shooting game from Jack (but solid in every other area was Jack!)

All in all, another transcendent performance from GW, another great team win, 3-game road winning streak (!!!), and the last time we have to play those pesky-ass Kings this year: despite the 8 inches of snow outside that ain't going anywhere anytime soon, nothing but good times, baby :rock:

He was not the only one who didn't play well in the 4th. Define true steals. Are there true assists or true points, or true rebounds? His contribution was very important to the win. His defense was stellar. So if you are looking at his shooting, Jax was 5 of 19. Ray had 3 turnovers and we had others that had 2 and 3 as well. So for you say Ray almost lost this game in one quarter by himself just does not seem accurate. Ray did not shoot the ball well, but he did some other things well. And I love the Bobcats.

Ray had several plays where he was credited with a steal after simply catching an errant pass that would've gone out of bounds or to another 'Cat anyway. Now, sure, he was able to set up the break, but he blundered away multiple fast breaks last night.

Also, he was the one initiating the offense, and driving to the paint almost every play. The guys really don't have a choice but to follow the point guard's lead, especially in LB's sets. And sure, others weren't playing well, but they weren't throwing up prayers like Ray. At least GW and Jack were getting off decent shots, even if they weren't smart shots. Flip had a couple bad ones, but he hardly shot during that stretch because it's kinda hard to get passes if they aren't thrown.

My point is that good basketball players can have off games on the offensive end but if they contribute positively on the defensive end, there play was not horrible. Being able to stop teams from scoring is a very good thing. Raymond Felton can play lock down defense. He did last night. I am impressed with the defense he played on Tyreke Evans. Ray didn't shoot the ball well and he made some mistakes, but I wonder would we have won the game if he had not shown up strong defensively. So to talk about true steals and to say that Jax and GW were taking decent but not smart shots, and Raymond was throwing up prayers; seems all the same to me. I like to accent the positive of our players and of course we won.
