Assuming your window are seeds 5-8 (sorry but I don't see anyone breaking through the top 4) who would you like to face? Of course, the Cats would be the road team
Cleveland- Ahhh The Lebrons. I think the Cats match up great with the Cavs. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if you pushed the series to 7, but this is a no win situation. David Stern is not going to let the Charlotte Bobcats beat the Lebrons. No way..no how.
Boston- The oldest team in the NBA just about.KG's knees are jelly right now. I honestly think they would take you guys easy, but thats just me.
Orlando- I hope you play Orlando. Imo, I think you guys can beat them. You match up so well with them, and we all know the NBA is all about matchups. I hope this is who you face
Atlanta-..we've been through this. Personally I would also love this matchup, so I can go to Charlotte, and see the Hawks, but..thats what TV is for.
Cleveland or ATL. We have never done well against ORL even though it looks decent on paper and Boston has kicked our asses twice this year.
I'm guessing it's going to be ATL, and that'll be a good matchup and series for a lot of reasons. Not the least of which is I hope we'll be able to shut you up :D jk, you're not that bad.
But rekindling the I-85 rivalry that the Panthers and Falcons have poorly carried since Vick left would be good, especially since both football teams will probably be better next year. Now if only we had an MLB team to challenge the Braves...

Bulls. D Rose can only carry his team so far. Means we should get into the second round of playoffs. After them, I guess either Orlando or Hawks.

Bulls and us are both going to be 5-8 seeds, and even if we get to 4, ATL will be 5. We can't play Chi-town first round...

The Cavaliers.
I say the Cavs too. We have a punch-you-in-the-face attitude against them that they don't respond well to. I also think we do a pretty good job against Lebron.
If you get jumped by a gang, you always go after the biggest one first. You beat him, and you've got a huge obstacle out of the way, a lot of momentum, and the rest of the guys have a little bit of fear in their hearts.
Although, that would also likely mean we'd be the 8 seed and never be able to get home court advantage. I think there's a very good chance a couple of the top seeded teams go down this year, so a 5-6 gaining home court advantage in the conference finals is a real possibility.
I actually like a match-up with the Hawks the least, but I'm not scared. :)

Cleveland or Boston. Diaw would get eaten alive by Josh Smith over the course of a playoff series.

Any of those guys soud good exept Orlando. I would love to see the cats' pull the "upset" over Boston.
Atl, Cavs, or Boston...I think we could play tough (if not win) in all those series...rather not play the Magic since we don't seem to be over the "hump" playing them...but I'll be happy with the team playing "after" the season ends...
I think we would have the best chance of getting to the 2nd round by facing Boston in the 1st. I think we match up very, very well against them.
The LeBrons have, well, LeBron which should be enough to worry anyone.
The Magic worry me because Howard can have a 20/20 against us in his sleep. Plus they can get real hot from outside.
I'd LOVE to play the Hawks, but that's because I think it would be a wonderful series. Be awesome if Bobcats Vs Hawks was the ECF match up IMO.

I like our chances against the Cavs. Lebron will do absurd, amazing, ridiculous things in the postseason but nobody else on that roster concerns me.
I want no part of the Magic. Too many 3 point shooters and too much Dwight Howard.
I'm kind of middle of the road on both the Celtics and the Hawks matchup :g:

Yesterday on ESPN halftime Jalen Rose said that the team that will trouble the Hawks in the playoffs are the Bobcats. So I say Hawks.

That and odds are one of the big 3 will be either playing hurt or out.
Boston. Be VERY satisfying to win our first series against them.

Cavs, Celtics, Hawks - no matter the order- and Lakers (taking candy from a baby 4-0 sweep)
Cavs or Celtics. Not Magic, please.
(not considering Stern-Bavetta company)

Definitely the Hawks, and then hopefully the Celtics, Cavs and Magic all lose in the 1st Round. That way the Cats, Heat, Raptors and Bulls fight it out for the conference championship.
My faith in the inherent goodness of the universe will be restored. I'm counting on it.
HooRa 1000th post! Only took me hmmm 3 and a half years! I'm not one to say too much and show off my hyper-intelligence. You know, I'm just a humble guy-thing.

That was my thinking - plus their bench? It aint so deep.

Hells yes it would!

The only team I don't think we're good enough to beat in a 7 game series is Orlando. They just have too many guys that can make plays. We've proven we can beat Cle, but we wouldn't be allowed to guard Lebron in the playoffs so I'd prefer not to have them either. Either Atl or Bos would be fine. There would be a certain symbolic pleasure in playing Boston though. The Hornets made their first playoff appearance and won their first playoff series against an aging Celtics team back in '93. I definitely think the Cats could take down this similarly aging version of the Celts. That win was a turning point for the Hornets who, for the most part, remained consistently competitive after that until they left. It would be awfully nice if history would repeat itself for the Cats.

Atlanta. I know that the cats can win that series.

We can beat any of the top 4 but I would prefer the Cavs though, Celtics would be second choice. My roommate is from Cleveland too, so I would love to talk trash non-stop for a year probably more since LeBron will leave.
