Went to the meet and greet wit the playes int he tunnel after tonights game. Fairly disappointing as Wallace and Jackson (and Nazr) I guess decided it was not worth their time to come thru and say hi to the fans. I lost a little respect for GW tonight after that.
The most engaging were DJ and Felton. I told Felton we need him here next year and he sad he wants to be here badly and hopes it works out. I told him he is the hardest working on our team and appreciated his effort and improved shooting % - he seemed like a down to earth nice guy. We must sign him in the offseason. I understand why we did not last year as it looked like he was overpricing himself and DJ had a solid rookie year but Felts has brought his A game all year and we can see now that he does not have to be superman and can be a true PG and he has excelled in my mind. If we let him go we are F'ed, DJ cannot run the offense
I asked Diaw to please shoot the ball more when he is wide open- not much of a response but it was so bad on th court tonight people were booing in masses when he passed up shots. He needs to go. I would like to see us package him and DJ (who i like but who will never be more than a reserve) to someone for a top notch PF (I think Brown can grow into a true back-up)
Coach Brown was nice and I got alot of pis with all of them with my 10 month old son who had his jersey on and everything.
It was a nice event to have for the STH's but why have it and not have GW and to a lesser extent SJ come thru. I had a good time anyway but you could tell a lot of people left with a bad taste in their mouth about that.
We got three of the last 5 GW action figures tonight, they ended up being nicer than the pic on TV

I totally disagree with your "DJ cannot run the offense" and ï lost a lot of respect for Wallace" statements...... you kidding me if anyone has earned their respect on this team it's G-Dub for crying out loud.

I wrote that I lost a little respect - which I did. I agree with you that he has earned a ton so there is a lot left. I'm not a star struck person anyway so I really didn't care he did not show but a lot of the kids did and I could understand where they were coming from as the team arranges this session and then out two biggest players no show it
I like DJ a lot but he can't be our starting PG. He's a solid backup and has above average shooting ability when he is on but I am very concerned for the team if we lose falton and our replacement is DJ - I go to every game, watch most of the road games and played ball all thru college - I ca see what is happening on the court and DJ cannot run the team

Okay, I've GOT to chime in here with as much face time as i've had with all our players save TC, Jax, and Acie.
GW is by far one of the nicest guys, and he does appear anywhere he can. I can tell you that when EO50 was on the cats he would not do ANY and I mean ANY after-game meet/greet type stuff because he always did 1 hour of stretching etc... So I wouldn't hold it against GW as I'm 100% sure he probably had some other engagement.
I do agree that ray is probably the most "down to earth" on the team, Raja of course can no longer have that title :) DJ is also very nice. I met him pre-game one time and hung out with him, his mom and his dad for like 20 minutes before he had to go take part in the pre game shoot around. If you saw anything in tonight's game, DJ ran the offense quite well, we made our biggest moves with DJ running it. Hes not BETTER than Felton, just as Collison is no freaking way better than Paul, but he ran the offense in a different way and that just happened to be more effective for the time he was on.

Oh so you know that DJ can not run the offense because you played bball thru college, man for a guy that goes to college you sure have spelling/grammar inaccuracies, better stop wagging those english classes eh.I too have played bball and i have seen most(90% of them) of the Cats games this year and from what i've seen DJ runs the offense very well not to perfection but in the LB system that's a hard thing to do as a sophomore, just ask Raymond Felton.

My sister was at the meet and greet tonight, and got me all their auto's on a "Bobcats Fans Parking" sign. I will be there after the nets game, when i hope we will be more friendly:). That gerald wallace action figure is pretty freakin sweet.

Not sure on Jax, but I would think it's very likely GW was getting treatment for his hamstring. If that's the case, I'm glad he's already preparing for the next game. At other STH events GW has been very engaging with the fans. Additionally, the NBA has a quota on the number of times they can require a player to do non-basketball related events, my guess would be, high dollar STH seats probably request Jax and GW more than the average player and are probably beyond that quota amount.
Don't judge GW too much on one night's events, as hard as he plays, he's earned the benefit of the doubt on a quick judgement call.

That makes sense and really like I said I personally didn't care but there were some small kids who were excited and waiting and to them the don't think about all of this stuff they were just let down. I think the team could have maybe just communicated something to them to make it a good experience. Perhaps the others will be there after the gave vs the Nets
As for the other poster this is a friendly forum, not sure why you have so much hostility. I certainly was not trying to be that way towards you. Yes I do feel I have played and coached enough basketball to know what I am seeing. Having said that I respect the fact we all have different opinions. My opinion is that Felton needs to be our PG of the future and DJ has solid trade value and that should be packaged with Diaw or one of our high dollar centers to try and get us shored up better at PF. I love when DJ comes in and knock down shots and he is a decent bench player for anyones rotation. I'd like to keep him and get rid of Diaw but we will see what happens. My fear is that we lose Felton for nothing and have DJ as our starting PG, that is a short and long term step backwards to me.
Sorry about spelling, I don't proofread posts I put on an internet forum at 1 in the morning :)

i have a bunch of pics i will try uploading likely tomorrow
My guess is G-Dub was getting treatment on the hammy and Jack was in no mood for a meet and greet after that awful showing. He's not a guy you want to talk to after a loss anyway. It's also possible the press held them up for a while, since those two are the only ones the media care about.
Other than that, sounds like a cool event, and I hope we keep Ray, he's miles ahead of DJ.

My wife also wanted me to add, anytime wallace sees us he goes out of his way to say hello. We were in the backcourt when they came out handing shirts and he stopped handed her a shirt directly and gave my neice who was with us a huge hug...he was last out of the tunnel, which is a rarity for him. Raja also did similar, he was running to get a phone call and he stopped to autograph my bell jersey and flat out said it was the first jersey he autographed (and he loved my tattoo).
