If he played with passion he would probably be a perennial all star. As it is it's pretty sad whe the crowd starts booing you because you pass up wide open lay-ups and shots and jog around the court like you don't care

No sense writing a novel about it as anyone that knows basketball knows what I am talking about. Guy has tons of talent but is to passive and is most nights a liability to our team

Please trade him ASAP

He was ICE cold after the Jackson trade, warmed up the last handful of games, and got iced today and in la....

I'd love to know if any team is overloaded of the 4 position? Maybe we can trade some of our guards and get a good PF, then move diaw for whatever.

It's funny (well maybe not) that I was going to post a poll on here about a week or so ago in regards to whether we should sell high on diaw after his hot streak. Curious as to what people would rather have done....sell high or hold onto him because he "finally got into the lb system post-jack trade" mode. He's not my kind of pf, though I do like the scoring "non-traditonal" guys, but I'd prefer a boozer/jj hickson physical type of post scorer that can crash the boards and is somewhat athletic.

I was actually wanting him to keep up this streak he had going so by the deadline we can get something decent for his fat ass....seems unlikely now

I think everyone knows I did not want Diaw from "jump-street"...that said...

If we trade him now it would be for a contract worse than his...and probably a less skilled player...only way we get anything for value is if LB "makes" him earn his salary...he's (LB) going to have to take him out of the starting line-up (IMO) to get his attention...maybe (if Diaw ever responds) we trade him before the draft...but at this point he is our "anvil" IMO...

I was one of the five thousand booing last nght as he passed up open shot after open shot. I still can't understand beanching Nazz last night after him scoring 15 in the first half . And holding OK50 to 6. West killed Diaw from the start until the game was over . Our point play sucked to but Diaw is the topic. Brown really seems to like him in at the end of the game , playing small most of the time . Nazz just seems like a better option if the other theam isn't playing small and spreading the floor.

Nazzy and Diop (can't believe I'm saying Diop) looked better together against LAL than Diaw with anyone...

IMO Diaw never gets better until LB gives him some extended bench time...

Diaw responded for one "whole game" after Jax talked to him...that was it...he needs to ride the bench for a while...only way I see getting his attention...

Diaw and DJ for Al Harrington and a draft pick. Everyone wins and gets what they want.

Dude, Diop has seriously been playing some nice ball over the past couple of weeks. He started out slow making a couple of wonky mistakes, but he's really been playing pretty well since "getting into the swing of things".

works for me although it would be nice to try to get an even better player back

Diaw has no heart - you can't teach that - he is very skilled but just way too soft especially for a team built like ours

NYK won't do it because they take on salary, unless Donnie Walsh gives up on two max FA's and decides to get a cast of guys (which would be the smart thing) with DJ, Gallinari, Boris, and Jordan Hill headlining.

But Diaw has reached Adam Morrison status. As in, every time he touches the ball, he gets booed. I loved what he did last year, but man, he just couldn't care less now. Get his ass off the team.

But D'antoni gets Boris who he wants, Walsh gets DJ, and we get a better version of Boris/a good friend of Jax.

Yeah, but if NYK wants LeBron/Bosh, they CANNOT take on ANY salary next year and HAVE to get rid of some of what they do have.

Honestly, they aren't getting them anyways, but the Knicks can't understand that.

Well maybe D'antoni can talk some sense into Walsh....

Except they aren't getting 2 max FA's (unless Joe Johnson is a max FA In your opinion)

Would you rather get a max guy, Boris (who D'Antoni likes), DJ, and another above average FA or overpay someone like Joe.

Teej...too many people assume D'Antoni still likes "Doris"...if that were the case I honestly think Walsh would consider what his coach wants...if they both thought it (a trade for Doris) would help them land LBJ and make the team that much better they'd do it...Walsh knows BB...but I doubt either of them view Doris that way...and I seriously doubt they'd do the trade when they can try to sign Ray as a FA...a guy they do want...

at this point he has little value as a 3 year 9 mil per player. the only way we are moving him for a productive player, is to take on a horrid contract. to be honest, we could maybe convince philly to do a a doris and diop for brand and holiday or something like that.

but...do we want to take on brands awful contract.

i would if...i was assured 2+ healthy years where he could avg 18 and 9 from the low block and require a double team at least 1/2 the time.

...at this point I'm not sure he's worth Roman...we might fetch a door knob for him...if we throw DJ and 8 million into the deal...
