Like the title says...
If you are starting a team today and had your choice of either player, Who would it be?
A year ago this question would have been absolutely ridiculous, but now with the way that the 'Durantula' has elevated his game this season its a legit question.
Durant, he actually cares about winning. LeBron's all about the show.

I would still go Lebron, the way he gets everyone involved is really special.

The Cavs have the best record in the league, as they did last year. That doesnt happen without a commitment to winning. LeBron cant walk around the block without someone telling him he needs to win a ring if he wants to be considered the best (or better than Kobe). I think winning is VERY VERY VERY important to him. Yeah, he's a showman and understands the importance of that, but make no mistake about it, he wants to go down as one of the greatest to ever pick up a basketball and knows that will only happen if he puts some jewelry on his fingers.

Durant.
Lebron is only a tad bit better and Durant has a LOT of potential left in him.
Not to mention, Durant is a whole lot more likable than LJ.

I really don't see much more LBJ needs to develop. He's unstoppable when he attacks the rim and is the league's leading scorer. His shot is even making improvement and once he starts hitting the 3 with consistency then he'll be unguardable.
While being the highest scorer in the league, he still manages to be 6th in the league in assists (only Forward in the top 30) and also still manages to pull down 7 boards a game.
He's also the only player in the league with a PER above 30. (Wade is second at 27). James also has by far the highest Value Added in the league at 662. (Again Wade is second, but only at 498). He also has the highest Wins Added number at 22. (With Wade yet again a distant second at 17)
Durant is good, sure, and he's having a good year, but he's no LeBron James.
