Watch him be out for the rest of the season or something........I hope not but the way things go with him, he probably will. LOL
Also I have thought of a new nickname for Tyson.
"Oedipus"
We are reading that story in English and it means "swollen foot" or something. It seems to fit Tyson quite well........
So I am gonna call Tyson Chandler, Oedipus Chandler from now on........hahahahahahah

Ive tryed to keep my mouth shut during this loosing streak. When did the worthless piece of shit get activated six games ago ? When did the team stat playing like crap ? About six games ago . Keep his sorry ass in NY . Til the season is over . Buy his lazy trubled ass out and get him the hell out of hear.
As far as the trade TT sems to be playing hard and trying . So we can't put our loseing streak on him . Nazz is missed badly . Diop is even missed against bigger centers. If we can just split the next six i think we will be fine . Nazz should be back in the GRIZZ game per the artical.
Chandler is worthless................................

Well, I dont think a swollen foot is what Oedipus was remembered for. I think it was for killing his dad, sleeping with him mom, and then plucking his eyes out. I dont think I hate TC bad enough to call him Oedipus - at least not yet.
That said, if his foot ends up costing him his career, and over this summer he is forced to retire, that may be a major win for us. I dont think he would count against the cap.

Laius (father) had Oedipus' feet pierced and left him out in the wilderness to die. Unfortunately some herdsman found him and took him to Thebes where he was taken in by another family.
However, for the rest of his life, Oedipus had messed up feet

I did not know that about his feet. Interesting. Since the term Oedipus Complex relates to the other stuff, that is the most noted part of the story. But that is really interesting about his feet. I had only recalled that when it was foretold that the Kings's son would kill his father, I thought that the King merely had his son sent off to another land far away to be raised by someone else and intended Oedipus to never know the truth. The piercing of the feet stuff was not in my memory banks.
swedd nailed it...after the oracle made the prediction...that's what his father did...kinda makes you wary of listening to "oracles"...:p
Heh, I don't hate TC enough to call him Oedipus.
My brother calls him Tyson Chandelier because he's so breakable :p

Yeah, Tyson is a real motherf*****, ain't he?
I'm still partial to "Glass" myself...but I've also said if the guys hurt he's hurt...we all kid (to some degree to ease the frustration...and I'm one of the worst)...but it really will not be funny if it kills his career...dude is not that old...and I'm sure (even he) he'd like to leave under better circumstances...

NO SPOILER ALERT!?!?:mad::mad::mad:
Anyway, Chandler sucks (like I said)... but at least there's just a season and 1/3 until we're no longer financially tied to him... hopefully less since his massive expiring should fetch something next season.

Expiring contracts never get you young talented players but rather old vets with long contracts.
I don't understand how T.O. can come back so soon to play in the superbowl but TC can't be fixed. We need to work a deal with the suns where we get their training staff because clearly nobody on our staff if using HGH or whatever they are using. I mean seriously, they fixed Grant Hill, Nash is playing great even though he is 45, and Amare is the posterchild for microfracture.

I didn't write young talent, I wrote "something" :D
Walt...problem with TC expiring next year is about (exaggeration) 300 guys are...really...a lot of expirings and "something" (more like a bad contract) is probably all we get...best we do IMO (hope he retires from injuries) or keep him and let him expire rather than take a bad contract(s) back...

Yea, I'd be okay with just letting him expire too. That'd still be more than he's giving us this year. Cap relief is better than nothin!

And like you said, it's only a season and 1/3 tied to the bozo. But definitely the best case scenario is having him retire after this season and hoping there is no insurance clause in his contract that would force us to pay him the final year.
Nonetheless, I still stand by the trade....I mean, can you imagine Mek's contract in the years to come??? Wow, I'm getting nauseous just thinking about it.....I just wish we could've gotten a draft pick to boot.

About time he's gone to see that foot specialist. Long time coming.
Maybe his career is over with this foot injury.

You certainly have. Still one of my most favorite posters Dav!
Tho the timeframe is a lot shorter TC is really starting to remind me of May. I hate it as I think he could really help us...but it is what it is.
The best we can hope for IF he's never able to play again is for insurance to kick in...which would make him much more valuable as a trade chip. I don't think that he'd be excluded from the cap hit however unless he's declared by doctors as being unable to play ever. That's a sticky situation and I doubt seriously if it happens.

TC got a "positive" report back from the foot specialist...he does not need another surgery...

So... he's probably just been a wuss this whole time then, right?
I'm sure he feels some pain, but don't the best professional athletes always play with some pain? At least once they hit a certain age.

It certainly gives me pause when I think about...but I have to admit I rarely think about him...I've advocated "if the guy is hurt he's hurt"...but not playing (and many have already pointed to Crash, Ray, and Nazzy) because you have some pain...wuss label would quickly come to mind for many...

don't mean to tread off-topic, but if you scroll down to the bottom of bonnell's article and look at the comment section, there is an interesting tidbit about hughes. in answering some comments, bonnell says that he thinks there's a good chance he gets signed by the 'cats. he says monday or later (which is kind of a 'no duh') but for whatever bonnell's cred is, he thinks it will happen.
and now, back on topic to chandler's waste of space in a bobcats uniform.... continue as you were.

I have no idea what he thinks or feels. However, I'm guessing it's more of a trust issue than a pure pain issue. If it feels uncomfortable, you're more ginger on the court; you don't play with the explosiveness, focusing on the game, that you would without an injury. Anything below the waste affects all of your movement.
In other words, it probably is mental, but I don't think it's a case of "playing through pain" so much as trusting his body.
