The Nets beat 'em a few nights ago, ergo, we lose. This logic makes perfect sense, which means I think we may actually have a chance since our boys tend to defy logic. Really must avoid a season sweep by those punks.

Jax with only 2 FGA for a half has to be a record. Both him and Crash have had a very quiet half. Unless that changes dramatically I'm not feeling so swell about our chances.

Theo at least drew two fouls... I guess Graham felt the team was desperate enough for him to take 3 3's, but all of those are bad shots for him to take. Essentially a guaranteed to and fastbreak opportunity for the Cs.

the best part of the thomas trade was getting thomas. the bad thing was giving up flip. we now have to have great games from both gerald and jax to win. also, thomas takes away some of gerald's game around the rim. we needed to make a third trade for a scorer off the bench to replace flip. maybe hendo or brown and the raja exception for someone like eddie house.

Games since Feb 1
loss to a banged up Portland without Roy
loss to LaL
loss to Hornets at home
win over Wizards by 2 pts
win over Timberwolves by 2pts
loss to NJ at home
Win over Cleveland
loss to the bucks
loss to the LAC
loss to the Jazz
win over the GRiz by 4pts
loss to Dal
loss to Bos
To the casual NBA fan the win over the Cavs means we are a good team when we want to be. However if you consider the Cavs were coming off a loss to Denver where they gave up a 14 game win streak it is easy to see how they might come out flat the next game. Also it was Jamisons first game back and he went 0-11 or whatever. To me it looks like that game is a total fluke where we just caught them on the right night.
What about the other two wins over cleveland? There is no doubt we were playing good ball early in the season, but it hasn't been happening lately. Even if we were playing better now we should have broken up this team and gone younger. THat is not an overreaction. It is good stragiety. Jackson is going to be to old by the time we are ready to contend for a tittle. Same for LB. It certainly looks like the game has already passed him by. I am even starting to think wallace's best days are behind him. We could have gotten younger assets/cap space/picks by trading Jackson and Naz when there value was high. Instead we have a team that is going to backdoor into the playoffs and are out an extra furture pick.

most of your previous post was ok, but debatable. this sentence is asinine. the man is avg a career high in rebounds, his shooting % is up and his points are consistent with last season. this will be accurate in 2 seasons but certainly not now.

He is one of those players that is great because he is a great athlete. I like how he has expanded his game this year with coming off curls for jumpers and posting up, but I am not convinced he will continue to be a great NBA player once he is no longer a great athlete.
Maybe he is just tired from all the minutes he has played. Maybe he is still not completely right with his hamstring. Maybe he is just a little to satisfied with being an all star. Whatever the reason he did not look special at all during all star weekend and his play has dropped off a bit in Feb. He is still my favorite player, and I think we should try to build with him as our centerpiece, but for the first time I am starting to have some doubts creep in about how much he has in the tank. If he has two years of prime left can we put a contender together in that time span. I don't know.

I'm sick of Jack and Gerald talking. Neither has played well as of late and the team isn't going to improve because they complain to a ref, complain about opposing players, or complain about a 'team' concept that isn't being fulfilled.
