I was watching my Hawks play last night on a stream, and was channel surfing, and was shocked that FSN was actually doing the Bobcats game. I watched for a while, and they don't seem to want to be out there. Is it the MJ Deal? It looked like they at least had a playoff spot wrapped up. Maybe they are taking things for granted.....it doesn't look good.

Hell if we know. But I doubt it's the MJ deal. I think it's more arrogance and being a bunch of primadonnas. And FS/SS does 70 Bobcats games, it's just on FSCR vs FSS

My best guess is the players have soured on playing for Brown. It doesn't seem like anybody on this team is excited about playing basketball anymore.

Don't know if the MJ deal has any effect on them at all, but you are 100% right. They pretty much look disinterested out there and like they are just going through the motions.

We are very disjointed at the moment and lack direction.

BREAKING: Turmoil in Charlotte Bobcats Locker Room Confirmed By Bobcats' Jump-Off (http://detroit4lyfe.com/articles/general-sports/breaking-turmoil-in-charlotte-bobcats-locker-room-confirmed-by-bobcats-jump-off.html)
Allegedly, the 'Cats locker room is divided over the team's poor play, as well as management's decision to trade Flip Murray to the Chicago Bulls last week (http://www.wsoctv.com/sports/22604514/detail.html) for Tyrus Thomas. Flip was an extremely popular and productive player, he was a local product (he attended Shaw University in Raleigh (http://abclocal.go.com/wtvd/story?section=news/sports/college/basketball/mens&id=7264776)), and he was extremely close to both Gerald Wallace and Stephen Jackson. When they got rid of him at the trade deadline, apparently that produced a negative ripple effect (http://espn.go.com/blog/truehoop/post/_/id/13762/did-trades-hurt-bobcats), which has been felt through the Bobcats locker room (and, add that to the fact that their play has been awful the past few games).I'm pretty sure this is tongue in cheek, but I am starting to wonder if trading Flip has had more of an effect than just weakening our back court. I think it's pretty obvious Crash liked Flip as he took him to ASW with him.

In losing Flip we definitely lost some of our swagger.

...and from all I've read we lost the levity in the locker room when Flip was traded...he was a "cut up" in a very good way from what I understand...I did not like him going...wish there had been another way but obviously there was not...

Remember when Crash was asked (or volunteered) his thoughts when Raja got traded? I don't remember anything on the TT trade...no comments from players whatsoever.

Of course that could just be shoddy reporting. I'm amazed that someone hasn't asked Felton "WTH has happened to your shot since the ASB" yet.

If Crash is so easily influenced by a team mate being traded then I don't hold a lot of hope for him.

He seemed pretty upset Raja got traded.

Who knows. Something's off, that's for sure.

He and JRich were pretty tight and he dealt with that trade...so not sure a teammate traded is the problem...IMO it is more of what his last "thoughts" with Bonnell indicated...the "team" has started to play selfishly...I think others have brought up good points...why can't LB get this corrected? Have the players stopped responding to him?

It has to fall to the leader (LB in this case) to get a team back on course...I'd like to see him do that (LB) but I'm not sure calling out the team was the way to do it...but I give this...he may be at "wits end"...none of us are really "inside" the team so it remains "best guess"...

Yes. Him and anyone else.

Anyone who has been in the league more than 2 years knows that this is a business, not a game, and if you're attached to someone on a team and both of you aren't All-Stars, then you need to get over it and grow up. Crash has been around wayyyy too long to be affected by this.

The reality is that the Bobcats started slipping way before Flip was traded so I hardly doubt Flip Murray is the cause of the lack luster play of the team.

Maybe losing Flip hurt some feelings but I doubt veterans like Crash and Captain Jack are going to cause enough turmoil in the locker room to hurt the teams chances of making the playoffs. These players are too proud to let losing one player ruin their season.

Several games before the All Star break the team was barely beating lousy teams and even losing a few to lousy teams. Flip was still a member of the team.

Whoever this so called insider is I would love to see proof of their credentials.

They started to falter once they got back from the 6 coast roadie when they had NO at home on a Saturday night...had to hold on for dear life against WAS and MIN, and then the second loss to NJ, which I think was Flip's last game here if I remember right.

Yep, GW, Jack and Flip were tight, but things were turning sour on the court before Flip was traded.

He and JRich were pretty tight and he dealt with that trade

actually it was ray who was close to j-rich...not so much wallace

also, i've heard a lot about how players feel they r "playin on eggshells" around larry brown...he's not letting them play their own game...one minute he's screaming at them NOT to shoot an then the next minute he's getting mad at them because they arent shooting enough...i mean i no a lot of u all have that "I.L.B.I.T." mentality but we have seen it first hand how larry is affecting our players...it started with dj, an now it can be seen thru just about every other player

larry is without a doubt a hall of fame coach, but i agree that he is definitely lost touch with the players...hope something changes soon

Bobcats give up game-day shootarounds (http://blogs.charlotte.com/inside_the_nba/2010/03/bobcats-give-up-gameday-shootarounds.html)

It appears LB thinks fatigue has something to do with our 'slippage'.

No shit...it's taken him a this long to notice?

Crash hasn't been Crash for a month, and Jack has been slipping a lot lately too.

I think that has more to do with Hendo playing than anything Hendo's doing.

That and we're apparently not going to try and replace Flip.
