And so are Kemoeatu and Damione Lewis - our 2 DT's expected to be starters. Wonder if the Panthers are making a late move now to clear space for a couple FA moves? Witht the holes now on the D line, and no 1st round pick, they better have something planned.

I wonder how John Fox feels about giving up his BFF Jake? I fully expected Fox to somehow force Jake into the starting lineup for another season.

Gosh, Panthers cleaning house. Let go of Diggs and Landon Johnson also. 2 LB's and our 2 main DT's gone. Youth movement, but our defense is going to be a lot worse unless they get some dood FA's in, and that does not appear to be happening.

Run D was 22nd last year, and 15th the year before with Kemo.
We aren't losing anyone good, trust me.
And Louis Leonard looked GOOD before he got hurt, and Tank Tyler was solid too. Corvey Irvin should be much improved, and picking up Ed Johnson (who already played for Ron Meeks) was great. Diggs was decent, but Johnson sucked. Thomas Davis, Jon Beason, and James Anderson with Dan Conner and Quinton Culberson backing up, or someone new coming in is very very good. And Chris Gamble, Richard Marshall (or a second rounder), Captain, Chris Harris, Sherrod Martin, Charles Godfrey and probably an addition via the draft is a good looking secondary.
It's receiver we need to look at.

I think he'll end up in New Orleans backing up Brees for the vet minimum. We'll see I guess.
I don't mind cutting Jake, although I didn't hate him as much as some people did. I thought he was a competitor that gave everything he had to this team...he just didn't have it anymore. And it's not completely his fault that Fox kept sending him out there when it was obvious Moore was the better choice.
But again, him being cut doesn't bother me. I just hope we're able to find a backup with some experience because right now our quarterbacks have, combined, less than 1 year of starting experience in the NFL.
Oakland has Gradkowski, who was pretty good last year. And they don't hire character guys, they hire guys who can throw a football 70 yards from their knees.
He'll go to Tampa or NoLa I'd bet. They need our playbook more than anything and Tampa needs a mentor for Freeman.

Everyone is crying today:facepalm:
The way Fox, Hurney and Jake all cried over this, you would think they were lovers and not a football player, coach and GM. Just ridiculous.
