Last night, I really enjoyed watching our bench play, better than our starters. (though Gerald did look great crazy blocking all those shots at the end) lol.

DJ. AUGUSTINE
G. HENDERSON
N. MUHAMMED
T. THOMAS
S. GRAHM
D. BROWN

When I read these names, I dont see a BUNCH of slouches... I see some pretty good players. It's a fact that you can't go far into the playoffs without a strong bench. In my opinion, we have just might have one.
We'll see how they look as we finish off this run. If they bring the energy to all games, that they brought against the Lakers and Warriors... we are PLAYOFF BOUND!!

Look thru the loss column and see how many bench points we had.

Absolutely the bench is a key.

Starters love it when players can come off the bench and the team doesn't loose a beat. The starters are beginning to trust the bench, and thus aren't as tense on the bench when watching the team play. The bench is always a key. The Lakers are so good because of their bench. Now, the Bobcats are developing a fine bench.

Think about the boost of confidence the starters get when the bench players do well. Guys like Gerald and Jack come off the bench feeling beat to hell but I'm sure seeing DJ knock down trey balls or TT swatting shots gets them feeling a little rejuvenated.

TBro you're right, our bench does have some good players, if they can start producing more on a game to game basis we can get back to playing the way we were in January.

Just as big is if LB decides to play the bench that night. You have 6 guys listed there but usually only two bench players get significant minutes. I really wish we would play an 11 or 12 man roster every game and spread the minutes out more. I think our team is deep enough for that. I even want to see Ajinca get in the mix some when he comes back from injury.

If the Cavs cut Danny Green to make room for Big Z, do you think we grab him up? Good height for a SG, has lots of potential, forget he is a UNC product. When he catches fire from the outside, he gets on a roll. Young, Carolina product, good height: I would take a flyer on him. With no draft picks if we make the Playoffs, he'd be some young talent LB can work with.

Green would be perfect in a Brown system . Hes a great garbage player who does the little things . Though im not sure he has enough experiance for Brown.

I'd love to get Dancin' Danny Green.

I was hoping we'd draft him, he said he wanted to play here back before the draft, and he is a great outside shooter. That drill Jeff Capel has, with the different three point shots that Steph Curry set the record for? I think Danny would do really well in it.

Over at RGM, Walt was saying that if we did grab him up, he would not be eligible for post season play for us. Would that be the same for anyone we grabbed who was recently let go by another team? Same for someone we may call up from the D-League also? Still, I would be good with him just being able to contribute to helping us GET to the playoffs. But mostly, I like the idea of his talent and youth being something LB can work with next year to contribute to the Bobcats. Remembering that if we make the Playoffs this year, we have no draft picks at all. Getting Green now would be like getting a draft pick.

No. The restriction only applies to those let go by other NBA teams after last Monday.

I bet they let Jackson go vs. Green, but if they did I'd still sign him and look to dump Henderson with Gana in a salary dump this summer/next season. IMO Green would make Hendo kind of redundant, so I wouldn't want to keep them both.

*Holds hands up in the air* Why not?

Green can be our 2010 draft pick. Welcome to the league young man, enjoy the "Larry Brown Bench For Talented Rookies Who Have No Experience Thus Can't Play" LBBFTRWHNETCP. I think that could catch on.

I dont know if I'd get rid of Henderson. I think he can be a good defensive player for us in the future as he develops. Honestly, I think I'd ditch Lexy before Henderson. Someone clarified the rule on the availability for post season over at RGM. Thanks Spectre, I was unaware of the rules.

From what little I remember of Green he was a defensive specialist too wasn't he?

Hendo played ONE decent game and that was mainly his D on Kobe, and that in limited minutes. Don't forget the Lakers just finished their worst losing streak on the road in God knows how long. He didn't look that good vs. GSW and lost his PT in the 2nd half to Graham.

If we want to keep just one of our two FAs we're most likely going to have to give up some talent to dump a contract. Hendo & DJ are the only two that fit that category.

I dont remember Green as a defensive specialist. I remember him as a scoring threat. I remember Henderson as being spoken of for his defense and offense. But if we grabbed him, then as far as trying to acquire picks in the next draft, Hendo may be a trading option.

Yeah Green was instant offense off the bench, he had that nice looking jumpshot and when he was hot, he was hot. He's one of those players thats good at a lot of things rather than really good at one or two.

I wouldn't really want Green. He'll just be another Stephen Graham, clogging up the bench.

As for trading AA, I'm hoping in 2 years he'll be good enough to take over the job from TC. He's hit 260 pounds or so, so he has the weight finally. But does he have the skills in 2 years? Nothing in 2 years, probably a bust.
