Saw this on TrueHoop and I know Simmons mentioned it a few times. I found the website but can't access any of the research papers which look really interesting. Anyone know how to get access to the actual work product?

There are a lot of relevant pieces to the Bobcats including one on the benefit/detriment of a blocked shot, officiating bias and management's role in today's game.

Dorkapalooza!!

http://espn.go.com/blog/truehoop/post/_/id/14093/key-moments-at-mit has links to all the different topics and goes more in-depth, but doesn't have the specific pieces. But all good reads. I was actually going to post it last night but got sidetracked. Great stuff, I lost some respect for Dork Elvis in not using clutch stats, and Cuban is possibly the best owner in any sport. Pagliuca was pretty good too. And if that officiating bias thing has any merit, which it likely does since it has L. Jon Wertheim's name on it, then the NBA has some stuff to work on.

And is it surprising to anyone that we don't have a analytics guy at all? Walt could do more for free than anyone on the 'Cats staff...
