Lets get this game thread going so I can get the Joe Johnson flashbacks to leave my brain.
Let's recap the Bobcats / Heat relationship this season.
Game 1 - Jax outscores wade 35 - 29, The Heat take a loss.
Game 2 - Michael Beasley says that the Bobcats should be an easy win. Heat get their collective asses kicked by 40.
Game 3 - The Bobcats beat the Heat again, this time by 5 points. a pissed off Wade says “I ain’t giving Charlotte no credit if that’s what you’re looking for.”
Nothing would help erase the memories of last night like sticking it to the Heat one more time.
We got this, Right?

Win!
After this game Flash will cry and demand to be traded to Charlotte.

"There's been one here at home and one at their place where we felt we had the game under control, we slipped for a second, and give them credit, they won those games," forward Udonis Haslem said.
"They've beat us three times," Wade said. "Two games were very close, one they blew the doors off of us. It's always tough games versus those guys, and it'll be another one. This is another game we need to win at home."

I would say this is a game that is winnable. We have the series against them, but if we loose we loose 6th spot. Shut down Flash and we most likely will have the game.

I am hoping Ray finds redemption tonight and smokes the Heat. A big game here would go a long way towards MJ finding the $ to give him the Contract he wants. Lets have a solid game from everyone, and maybe 10 minutes from DJ of just giving Ray some rest.

Winnable game sure, but I honestly think we lose this one tonight which is sad because Chicago gets Philly tonight with Noah and potentially Rose returning...I think we play tough, but the stamina of playing 5 games in a 7 days begins to wear on us.
I'm saying Heat win this 95-87 :-(
Crap, they're talking us up, so now they're winning tonight.
MJ gonna be there to see his boy Wade and his 'Cats?

Not to worry...LB's strategy was also to rest the bench. When they come in no doubt we'll be getting all those 3s back. :p
Ugh...missing easy shots.
If the Raps happened to lose to the Nets tonight should RGM put the Raps board on suicide watch?
Do you have the Bobcats feed? Did you see that last floater on replay from the angle with the camera behind?
The Heat going 0-9 is exactly why LB is ok with giving up those J's.

Much better rotations from LB tonight...letting DJ play with starters.

I really liked the shot and it looked good, but the side angle did it no justice.
From behind you could see just how good his timing was.
He waited until the very last moment possible and because of that the two defenders parted like the red sea moving outwards to the two Bobcats coming down the wings leaving the lane open for Felts.
Hard to do it justice here in type - the point I;m trying to make is that it was a good shot from the side but VERY impressive from behind.

We're in a decent position. I'm happy with where we are now, although we could of played better. So far, the lack of assists is astounding. We have 1/2 their assists, need to share the ball around more fellas. TC is looking good out there, and Boris is looking aggressive.

Yeah there is that. TC won't jack up 10 shots in a game. He made some bad fouls that cost us points but he did some good things too.
Next game's Tuesday right? Hopefully they all get some rest. Should be an easy next few games. Least it would be if we didn't suck against sub .500 teams.

I could have stood a little more aggression from Ray there. I know he has historically had a board label of going into "hero mode" or whatever, but I would have felt better with him going into attack mode more as Jack pretty much had nothing. Further, when he has gone into more of an attack mode in comeback situations, we have actually had plenty of times of getting closer to having an opportunity to win whether we finished it off or not.
Jack wasn't even hitting the good shots he was getting. At some point, you have to step up recognize "he ain't got it" and just allow him to be a decoy out there. As a pg (with the coach's blessing), you have to know who to give the ball to where and who to stop giving the ball to.
The problem from Jack's standpoint is that he himself won't allow himself to be a decoy and take defensive attention and make simple ball moving passes consistently, as he wants to prove to himself and others that he is as he proclaims at "top 5 SG" in this league. Furthermore, the way the media in this town covers him further reiterates this. He has big fish in a small pond complex right now. I LOVE him being here, but also think he needs to be reigned in on some level. Of course, I know that is a volatile situation in how that is carried out.
I know Ray isn't under contract, but he needs to have the balls to consistently step up when Jack isn't getting the job done and adjust the offense accordingly. And if he is simply running what's called from the sideline, then LB needs to realize that he has a very versatile and talent SG, but he is not a D-Wade, LBJ, Kobe, Roy, JJ, etc. instead of allowing him to shoot us out of games.

Yep ,thank God, we need to recover after these two playoff mode games.
We could actually win our next 6 (with 5 of them being played at home)if Jax re-thinks his shooting strategy. Then again, like you said, we don't play our best ball against sub .500 teams.

How do you shoot 21 times and only make 4? Almost have to try and shoot that bad. I know he's a set shooter so fatigue doesn't catch him as bad but I have to suspect he's starting to get tired.

He was defending D Wade. That wears you down. I remember Ray having some real stinkers in terms of shooting while defending Wade.
It's odd that we rarely rotate Gerald on the marquee guys more. I don't if LB wants him to be free to roam more, worries about him getting fouls, or seeks to preserve his energy. But you have to throw multiple bodies at guys like that.

no need to cream jax, since no one was able to hit anything tonight. if you have watched the cats in the past it has always been a problem for us when nobody either has the ability or the want to either be the hero or the goat. Jax was brought here to score which is what he does. i would like to see him post up more because that is where he presents the most trouble for other teams. if we put forth the same effort down the stretch we should go 10-3

Taking 21 shots isn't indicative of wear, if he was defending Wade and he was worn down he should have taken less shots. And most of his shots in the 4th were point blank misses and bad shots anyway

Exactly. Taking 21 shots when he's worn down is just selfish and/or stupid. He played great defense but he should have just concentrated on that and not worry about getting his own.

wade goes 6 of 18 maybe the heat should not try to resign him this summer. jax is alot like iverson in the since that you take the good with the bad. who else do you want taking the shots that jax took? Again if you have watched this team in the past they would hold onto the ball with nobody willing to shoot unless felton jacked up a shot as the clock expired. wallace game is not to be the focus of the offense which is why we bought richardson here then jax. he is best at being the second option on offense providing energy, rebounding and defense

^ I don't want to turn this into a Wade vs Jax comparison that would be lame and pointless.Thing is Jax needs to find other ways of contributing, he only had 1 assist tonight and as a team we only had 8 in contrast to Miami's 19.

I'm not either, two of browns former players iverson and billups both have career fg% numbers under 43% and both would have nights like jax had tonight but you still would want the ball in their hands because most nights they give you the best chance to win. Jax can do more than score i mean he averaged over 6 assists last year along with 5 boards and he averages close to 2 steals this year. His primary function for this team is to score that's what we need most from him. Wade is essentially the heat's point guard, they run the offense through him most of the time when we run it through different players at times

I predicted Charlotte would lose after fatigue set in and boy did it early. Jax couldn't hit the side of a barn from 10 feet away. Awful game tonight, and what made it worse is that Chicago finally won a game...Hopefully we get some rest, we sure need it as the 5 games in 7 days was starting to kill us...

Wow. Just wow.
Watching the game was a disappointment. Don't know why LB sits there and lets Jax stay on the floor when he's jacking up nothing but bricks. He was clearly being selfish and not playing as a team. Jackson needs to know that others can score on this team, maybe not as well as him but they can score.
I blame this loss on Jackson.
On a good note, DJ looked good in his limited minutes, and TC played good defense.

Never underestimate the power of 4 games in 5 nights, 3 of which are on the road, and 3 of which are against playoff teams, and the second of the back to backs coming on the heels of an OT buzzer-beating loss.
Since I didn't watch but snipets of the early 1st and closing minutes of the 4th qtrs, I have nothing to go on other than boxscore and postgame comments which indicate an offense to offense of epic proportions.
Anyone who watched this travesty can correct me, but there doesn't seem to be anything to take away from this game except, like ohara stated earlier, Larry needs to grow a set and tell Jack to chill out when he's not connecting (it's not in his makeup to give up and just stop shooting...he assumes he's going to make the next shot he takes, so he's going to keep taking them) and the paragraph I began this post with.
As a team and fanbase, let's rest up, purge these past two games from our systems, and get down to brass tacks and put these losing teams coming up on the schedule under our bootheels like we should........then again, there's spectre's anxiety, which is shared by yours truly :(
Thank God for the Sabbath and the day after for being Bobcats-free at least....

My point was that him missing good shots was related to the fatigue and the wear that comes from guarding a guy like D-Wade.
I didn't say it made him take 21 shots. I said it contributed to him only making 4.

I don't know if there's a solution to wash my eyes of that second half. If anyone knows, please share. Good Lord, that was awful on both sides. Miami won this game by being slightly less atrocious than the Bobcats. And I mean slightly. Both teams got decent shots, they just wouldn't fall for anything. How many shots for both teams rattled out? I don't think I've ever seen anything like that (and hope I never do again).
I believe it's just best to let these weekend games go...as Beagle said, there's a lot to playing your 4th game in 5 days against tough competiton. The schedule takes a little better turn now, and even though the under .500 teams do give the 'Cats some fits, I know they're well aware of what's on the line.
I've seen better offense from Special Olympians.
God, that was the worst shooting performance by two teams I've ever seen. One field goal in the whole fourth? Really Charlotte? Wow.
Horrible, Horrible game, I know I was supposed to do a game writeup but reliving that is not healthy, and I don't want to be responsible for a suicide.
And that can't be blamed on Jack, guys, it was EVERYONE's fault.
