and we have two 2nd round picks, who are some guys out there that could make it to our two picks within picks #47 to #52?

i'll throw some names of consideration: Willie Warren, Jimmer Fredette, and Michael Washington.

Thoughts on those guys? Do you guys have any other guys who could realistically see themselves in the 2nd round? I tell you this, in the position we're currently in...this is going to be our only additions to the roster.

Let's say Felton and Thomas is brought back, that makes 12 players on the roster. With Stephen Graham probably getting a better offer than Charlotte can offer, Larry Hughes not being a solution past the season, and questionable on whether Ratliff will be back with the Bobcats or the NBA in general, we're probably using these two 2nd rounders to put the roster at 14 with the option to sign another guy.

My belief is that the Bobcat could use Warren and Washington. Our two big weaknesses is that we miss a guy like Flip Murray, a guy who can come off the bench and flat out score. Warren is that kind of player in the next level with the skill set to play PG and SG.

We also lack solid depth in big men and Washington is a very nice big guy who's very athletic and long. He's an excellent rebounder and has the ability to play C and PF in the next level. If he gets some confidence in his game, he'll be an impact player in the next level.

Not sure yet, but I'm taking the best big I can get, whether it be with the picks we have or trading both to move up a bit.

Varnado is the guy I want right now. We've got the elder statesman to help him reach his potential and he's ridiculous blocking shots. He, Thomas, and Wallace would make for a sick front court. Although, he's a bit short comparatively and more of a PF.

You sure? NBA Draft.net says we have a couple of 2nd rounders.

Yes sad to say...I love nbadraft.net (and Draftexpress)...my two favorites but nbadraft.net has it wrong...most of the sites are showing us with none...this is a site that tamburello uses to track our picks and it is a very good site...

And every comment I've seen from MJ seems like we don't have a second, unless I'm misreading him.

Oh well thanks for correcting my ignorance on the matter.

It's still relevant to discuss, I guess, since 2nd round picks can be acquired pretty easily.

...not ignorance at all...just confusing since there are still sites indicating we have seconds...more of a bumber than anything else...going to make draft night kinda long...

We dont have any 2nd rounds picks, but dont count your chickens before they hatch. We may have a 1st. We are now in 8th place and only 2.5 games ahead of Chicago - a team now healthy again. This is getting very uncomfortable for the Cats.
