We're off to see the Wizards

http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w301/bobcatsplanet/merlin.jpg
Next 5 games: Wizards, T-wolves, Wizards, Raptors, Sixers :g:

We need to go 4-1 over this next 5, or at a minimum 3-2. If the Cats handle their business over this stretch, then they can put the Bulls way back in their rear-view mirror.

The Cats are going to pummel these jokers, Right?

More like we need to go 5-0 over the next 5.

Preferably 6 - -1 but that's kinda hard to do :p

We're gonna smoke 'em.

The day has arrived! One of two days a year when BobcatinDC gets his cummupins! I'll be there tonight, look for me behind the Cats bench in my Felton jersey. I'll likely be the only one in the building repping the Bobs!

Game-wise, this should be a walkover. The Wizards have lost a ridiculous number of their last 20 games. All sports media here seems to believe that they are tanking for a shot at Wall or Turner. As it stands now, they'd be the 4th pick (you know, if the lottery played out correctly, which it never does). They still have "work" to do. That means losses, which we will gladly take advantage of!

Go Cats!

This should be the start of six straight . Brown and the players know the importance . Im expecting we get right down to bissness. This is where we should start preparing for the playoffs.

03-23-2010, 11:04 AM
All the momentum has been going against us lately. We keep losing and our competition is winning. It MUST change tonight. There is no other option. This is a stretch coming up where we can go 5-0 and regain momentum. But if we continue this slide, the end could be but a short distance away.

Dr. Blotter

Me thinks we will pull this win off tonight. Hoping we can go 5-0 over this stretch, I am dying to see the Bobcats in the playoffs.

Let's just look at the exciting part. Washington is on an 11 game losing streak. Tomorrow night we host Minny who is on a 13 game losing streak. Considering we were the team who NJ finally beat to end their big streak at the beginning of the season, this could prove to be a very interesting 24 hours. The basketball Gods do have a sense of humor.

I hate playing bad teams you don't feel that great about a win but terrible about a loss.

Having said that we need to win out there isn't a statement game left on our schedule. No, I don't consider the Hawks a statement game, just payback time.

We started out shaky but our D has tightened up considerably. Definitely look like the better team these last few minutes.

Foye is a black hole. Someone flashed into the paint (Miller?) and was wide open and Foye looked off him.

...and to think they swapped Roy for him.

Best part- After the game, when almost no Wizards fans were left, I walked down to where Crash was answering questions on the court. He was the only one left. He pounded my fist, and took off his headband and gave it to me. Not only was it the coolest moment ever, it was the sweatiest thing I've ever held. So worth it! Go Cats!

GW really is a cool and personable dude and I'm glad you got to see it firsthand. With 19 boards worth of sweat, I bet you could wring that headband out and fill up a mason jar.

Overall this was maybe the most frustrating game of the season (outside of Nets losses). I mean some of the shots McGee was making? Are you serious? And Thornton's shot at the end? WTF was that? About lost control of the ball going for the initial shot, held on to it, flipped up an off balance shot and it swished? Then another clunker from Jack to send it into OT? (teej, I didn't notice Jack and Larry's interaction on the sideline; I just saw Jack after the shot, motioning Boris like he should've come to the near baseline just off the block for a dumpdown and then kickback maybe? Anyway, definite miscommunication....again.) And the goddamm FTs the whole game

Thankfully there was superlative defense most of the game, and incredible work on the glass, great production by DJ in the 4th, and a beastly game from GW which enabled the win. Phew....

some of my observations from the game(1) diaw has scored in double figures in 19 of the last 21 games, he still passes up to many shots but if we can get this type of production from himi'll take it.(2) if wallace ever develops a left hand he will take his game to the next level in my mind(3)when felton penetrates and controls the tempo the way that he did at times last night we get good shots and are really hard to beat(4) i want bash jax because he is playing hurt which is one of the things the team loves about him. the guy is a gladiator out on the court(along with wallace and felton). I am glad he cut down on the threes last night and stuck with midrange stuff ,he just might want to us the glass a little more and he gets fouled alot but doesn't always get the call. LB was pretty pissed about that last shot as we had enough time to try sometype of penetration and dish or shoot especially since the worst that could happen is ot.

QCH (http://www.queencityhoops.com/GameRecap032310.php)

The once and future starters (the current starters with Tyson Chandler swapped in for Theo Ratliff) played quite well - a 15-4 advantage on Washington. Of the three lineups that played at least 10 possessions together for the game, that was the only one to "beat" the Wizards - the starters were even at 39-39, and the group with Tyrus Thomas subbing in for Theo Ratliff actually "lost" 16-19. The most impressive number - those 4 points the Wizards scored against the Chandler-led defense came on 9 possessions for the Wizards. This is your league leading defense, people - enjoy (the Bobcats are currently 1st in defensive efficiency).Wizards' Blatche benched after spat with coach (http://www.nba.com/2010/news/03/23/blatche.benched.ap/index.html?rss=true)

Andray Blatche was benched after the first 7 1/2 minutes of the Washington Wizards' 95-86 overtime loss to the Charlotte Bobcats on Tuesday night.Coach Flip Saunders said Blatche didn't want to listen when the coach tried to talk to him about playing better defense."He didn't want to hear it," Saunders said. "I told him, 'If you don't come and talk, if you don't want to be coached, you're not going to play.' We had coaches go up to him three different times, they said he didn't want to play. Fifteen years, never seen anything like it.

It's one thing to bail on the coach, it's another to leave all your teammates hanging out to dry. Although I am kinda glad with Blatche's immaturity, I don't know if the team out that was playing tonight could of handled him. Probably could, seeing how good TC looks on defense nowadays.
