I was unaware that he has this type of injury. Makes sense that his shooting has been crappy the last few games. Not sure what they can do for it. Would think that a cortisone shot might help. But he better find a way to get past it.

Maybe he should start deferring instead of chucking?
Just a thought.

He needs to take a couple of games off. It's that simple.

rest would probably be a good thing for him now, at the min. reduced playing time

Not sure is just a couple days off will help a ligament. Ligament damage usually takes quite some time of non-use to heal. I think he will have to get by with cortisone shots until the season is over. But this really hurts. We need him healthy to make the playoffs as we are in a heated race . If we do make the playoffs, we need him healthy and firing on all cylinders if we are to make any noice in the playoffs other than being swept. This is just really crappy timing for the Cats.

I don't want to hear him bitch. Hasn't Kobe played the last two seasons (and the olympics) with a broken finger or something?

Dude, Kobe is one of the 5 beat players to ever play this game. He lives and breathes the game. Jax shouldn't even be mentioned in the same breath with Kobe. And that is coming from someone who cannot stand Kobe.

Jackson says hand injury causing "excruciating pain" (http://www.nba.com/2010/news/03/23/jackson.injury.ap/index.html?ls=iref:nbahpt2)

Dude, do you remember Jack talking all kinds of trash after Kobe called him "young fella"? I would imagine he would play through the pain and not complain so he can say, "See, I played with a messed up finger too. I'm just as good."

Maybe less shot taking and less minutes would help. It is damn tough to play with an injury, kudos to him for fighting through the pain. He just needs rest. Give him a game or two to refresh and let the ligament heal out a bit more before it gets back to being pounded by an orange bouncy ball.
This would be a good game for him to take off and rest his hand/heel....back-to-back at home against Minny...give the time to LH, Hulk, and Hendo...I doubt they could shoot worse than Jax lately...

Kobe's played with different finger injuries.
Larry Bird said Jack is the toughest guy in the league when it comes to playing through injuries. Don't even start, lol.
So Jax has a sore finger?
Wonder what Crash, Hughes, T2 and Chandlers excuses were last night!!

Nude bastid!
And AJ, hate to be a downer, but I believe the "toughest player in the NBA" distinction is reserved for a Mr. Raymond Bernard Felton Jr.

Whatever, just do what you have to do to put up some wins. Shoot less, but start playing sick defensive with your feet on the perimeter. Its time to gear it up to playoff intensity. The end is in sight.

Oh, ok, so why not still take 22 shots per game to make it right.........right.

It's not going to get better until the season is over and I can rest it. But I've got to block it out," Jackson said. "This isn't the first time I've played with pain. I've played with a broken toe for three years, so I've got to just find a way to figure it out.
Eh, what was that?
And I guess my prescribed rest wasn't needed  Good job Jack.

Then he shouldn't be bitching about a bruised finger, trying to deflect attention away from his slump.

As far as I saw he never bitched, he just said it hurt. Bonnell did the bitching.
