I was having this debate with a friend of mine.
I remember reading somewhere that Ben Wallace could bench well into the 400+ pound area, so he would get my vote. but a buddy of mine says that it would be Shaq because of his ridiculous size and natural strength.
who else would be in the mix if this were simply a contest of lifting the heaviest weight?

Hm that's interesting, i read Shaq could bench 450lbs and i know Ben Wallace is a gym freak and i also heard Earl Boykins is not to be messed with when it comes to the bench press.

Haha with the Durant call. He's pathetically weak (from my knowledge) which is why he plays SF.
I believe Big Ben or Shaq could bench press the most. Besides them, perhaps Nene? He's pretty big. DH12 would be up there, he's got massive guns.
I would've said Shaq a few years ago, but he's a big ball of fat now.
I'll go Kendrick Perkins.

I read somewhere that Howard benches around 275.

well long arms tend to make a person a better basketball player but much worse on the bench press. There have been quite a few football players from Tennessee who could bench up into the 550 range.

I can't believe that 275 number. I got up to 245 and I am nowhere near his size
