Raymond Felton has been talking about the playoffs for two years now. When did you really believe they were going to make it?

For me, it was the 6 game west coast road trip at the end of January, or as I call it the "Circus" trip ('cause the circus was at the arena).

The 'Cats had won 3 road games in the 3 months prior to that trip. They went 3-3 on that trip (with a 2pt loss to the Lakers).

After that, I finally actually thought that they could do it. Go 'Cats!

The game in January against the Suns where we just slaughtered them and kept on wiping the floor with their remains. We went .500 at that point, and keeping that pace would probably have been good enough for us to get in.

The day we traded for Stephen Jackson. Took Orlando to OT that night.

When we won all those games in January (can't remember the exact record). That stretch was huge for us, got us over .500, gave us national recognition, and despite a few bumps here and there the team just kept improving after that.

I was at that game. Every player on the team looked great that night. Thats when I thought we could do something impressive.

I really believed last season we would make the playoffs, however for me this season I really started believing in late Novemeber after we destroyed Toronto and 2 nights later beat Cleveland.

During the offseason I said we will either finish 6th or 5th. Damn, I was wrong...

For all the blah-blah by the media before the season about teams like Detroit, Washington and Toronto having better teams and making the playoffs over the 'Cats, I always believed that the 'Cats would make it.

Then the season started and Raja looked terrible, and I started doubting.

THEN, the tossed salad man came along and took one for the team. When the team immediately stepped-up and won the next two road games, which was required to end TSM's "fast," I felt like the team would be able to win enough to stay around .500 and make the playoffs.

As a general rule, though, I don't like to count chickens until they've hatched. But with the Cats I'm a total optimist.

Seriously, that should be in every fans mind from the very beginning.
I didn't believe we were ready for the playoffs till 08-09 though,if i recall correctly twa(t)s the season when Stache and McMay were coming back from injuries and i had faith that they would help us BUT...... oh boy was i wrong.

Although i believed we had a chance at making it ever since the season started, i kept my fingers crossed until last night, when we clinched. Seeing this team progress over the years, i have learned to love it unconitionally and never have expectations, just a lot of hope.

I am extremely happy we are in. As soon as the game ended i screamed loud enough to wake up the surrounding 4 units around my house. The progression we made to get here from were we started is remarkable. The fact we did it against the "old Charlotte order" (the Hornets and Okafor) made it that much sweeter for me.

I believed last year, but we fell short. When we got TC, I changed my sig and have been shouting from rooftops ever since.

Boy is my arm sore from patting myself on the back.

I was convinced last year too, until that Miami game when we collapsed and Raja got hurt.

But this year, I thought we would make it the whole time but once we got Jack I was sure.

The key word is "really" here because I believed we would make the playoffs in year two. Raymond came in as a rook saying as much, I was high still, I guess, from the Heels winning it all, we had the reiging ROY, we had Crash, I thought May would be a darkhorse for ROY, but, uh........well, let's move on.

For me I REALLY believed after we swept the 6 game homestand in January. I remember vividly MT coming up to my seats near the end of the slaughtering of Miami, the last game of the homestand, and the two of us sincerely talking playoffs. Being a little superstitous, I'm careful not to say things lest I jinx it, but like I told him that night, barring serious, prolonged injuries, "we've finally got a playoff team."
