This is also the last Nets' game in the Izod Center.

We're probably toast.

I refuse to believe that we could lose to the New Jersey Nets for a third time this season.

Ain't gonna happen

It's amazing how many Bobcats possessions end with Theo Ratliff missing a shot.

It's almost like the Bobcats are looking for Ratliff.

Wait a minute...they are.

As far as I'm concerned, when Ratliff rises to take a shot, it's a wasted possession, even if it goes in.

Watching them play the Nets is taking some of my 'we made the playoffs' high. It's the ghosts of drafts past, which still stings.

18 minutes and 10 points? Yea, I could see that.

I like DJ, but he's probably peaked at the backup PG position. He may get stronger, but his lateral quickness will remain an issue.

What will the PG he's guarding average while he gets those numbers? I like DJ, but he is what he is. Undersized without blazing speed or explosiveness. he's like the anti-Nate Robinson.

Good to see the international man of leisure, Gerald Henderson, had a uniform on under his smoking jacket. Seeing him without his neck towel seems so out of place.

That was a nice dunk, though.

Nash is no better. Are we talking about 18 points and 10 steals:facepalm:.Our defense is team oriented, pgs in this league will always have the advantage offensively especially the elite.

Undersized without blazing speed or explosiveness

He's quick enough for me and his jumpshot certainly makes up for his lack of "blazing quickness"

For a team thats leading and has clinched a playoff spot, you guys sure do bitch and moan a lot.

So in that spirit, I'd like to say Gerald Henderson, Derrick Brown, Stevie Graham, and Tyson Chandler suck.

Kidding, of course. At least for the latter three.

Ampsportsduo
04-12-2010, 08:31 PM
Only 5 PGs average 18 points this season and only 4 average 10 assists. Sorry, don't see DJ in Nash, Paul, Deron, Rondo, Rose, Tyreke territory. We'll just have to agree to disagree.

Funny how we stunk against them 2x, and are whipping their butts tonight without Crash. Good minutes for the backups to get some burn. We will need everyone come Playoff time.

Outside of maybe TWill I think they're mailing it in. We're playing good defense for the most part, but unless he's really falling off Harris looks really bad.

Figured they'd try harder to win that last game.

I am super impressed with Henderson's night so far. He has been all over the court and his athletic ability gives him a chance to become a pretty solid player. Has a chance to be a decent scorer and excellent defender, weak side and on-ball.

Absolutely. TC has way more in his bag of tricks than Okafor did...mainly defensively. On our team that's more valued at the C.

We win!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Floundered in the 3rd, but overall a great win! "Great", because we sat Crash, only played Jax & Boris 24 minutes and the bench took care of the heavy lifting! That's the way to set ourselves up for the playoffs!

great opportunity tonight for our bench to get some minutes---sure it was against NJ but they all played well...DJ appears to have his stroke back, GH played great, Graham played well in limited minutes....I wonder why Brown didn't get any minutes though, considering how much the bench played?

I really enjoyed the game tonight. Everyone contributed. What about Gerald Henderson? Good game for the bench. Point guards played well. Ray 12 points, 8 assists, 4 boards, DJ 11, 7, and 3. Glad to see DJ continue to play well and also hats off to Raymond because he has been steady the whole year. For him to shoot 46 percent from the field and to cut the turnovers as he has is noteworthy.

Only when Mek was here.

Good win, but did anyone notice in LB's postgame presser he was talking about "all the good, young players" on the Nets who "play hard" and he said all of their starting 5 EXCEPT Brook. Hmmm.

Nice to see Gerald prove me wrong, too.

Didn't watch the game due to personal issues (catching up on sleep ).
The game was good, that we won against the NJN. Wouldn't know what to do if we lost really, although then we weren't playing with our starting 5. Good minutes from Hendo. If he could play like that consistently, he would get a lot more game time. Also good that Crash got some rest, and that the starters also didnt play big minutes. Should help us in the long run.

Things to note:
-Hendo played very well.
-DJ is looking better and better.
-Starters didn't play too many minutes
-Held strong, didn't waver too much in the 3rd

Overall, good win.
