This afternoon on Slick Rick's blog (http://blogs.charlotte.com/inside_the_nba/2010/04/jackson-not-taking-barnes-bait.html), he writes that Matt Barnes is already trying to stir the part.

I think that Jax can avoid getting caught up because surely he knows that if he takes a swing at somebody, that David Stern would likely suspend him for a zillion games...

But will all of the other Cats be able to avoid getting caught up?

I'm worried about it. The Celtics totally warped Jax's head last time we played them. Thing with him is he just keeps shooting even when he's rattled no matter how bad they are.

Not the rest of the guys. Crash just needs to keep going at him and not disappear like he's prone to do.

Honestly, I'm not worried about it. Jack has plenty of Playoff experience, so he knows what to expect.

I believe he'll keep himself in check.

The Celtics game was one game. There are many more counterexamples.

Jack is the only guy on this roster who you don't have to worry about in terms of playoff pressure, lol.

I believe that if everyone keeps the team in mind, they should be all right. They just need to remember and always keep in mind that this is not about them personally, this about them as a team and their city that they are representing, if you want to shut them up, beat their asses on the court and send them home packin.

Barnes and Jax were teammates on that glorious Golden State playoff team that upset the Mavs. I don't think Jax will have any issues with him. We have a good amount of playoff experience on this team. Unfortunately we don't have it as a team.

Barnes is a goon.......all he does is talk. He reminds me alot of a guy I play basketball with at school. He's all talk. The best thingyou can do is ignore him and talk back by making shots over him. Wallace/Jack and the rest of the team need to let their game speak for itself and Barnes will shut up.
The refs may also help us out with Barnes if we stay quiet. They dont want anybody being and idiot during the Playoffs.

He's just a thug. Need to break out the old Charlotte 49ers "What a bunch of Thugs" t-shirts they used to wear for the Cincinnati games.

Well you've obviously watched Jax much more than me ajbry, so I'll have to defer to you on the matter. You have to admit tho...in that Celtics' game it was so obvious what PP was doing, and it worked way too well.

And Jax said they were friends too.

Jax is a pretty temperamental guy. Let's hope he's able to keep his cool, then shoot a 3 in Barnes's face and be like "take that hater"

Clearly it did, however it was just Jack catching feelings because he was playing one of his worst games of the season.

Ray Allen locked his ass up and Jack's frustration level were elevated because he wasn't doing shit on the court.

Trust me on this one, Barnes is more than just talk. It may not show in the stat sheet, but the intangibles are what he's best at.

Besides, him trying to get in your guys' heads is like employing the hack-a-Dwight strategy: it's all part of the game, right?
