who does this garbage ass team think they are?
get your weak shit out of here -- howard sets a record in blocks and stephen jackson gets owned by none other than gerald wallace.
jameer burned your weak ass PG too.
this series ends in 4.

You have nothing to be happy about as a fan of the Orlando Tragic. Your team fell apart in the second half and the Bobcats held Dwight to five points and seven rebounds! Are you serious? Bobcats will roll in Game 2.
But, I will guarantee that if you get passed Charlotte there is no way you beat Cleveland. Antawn Jamison punked out Rashard "Skinny Arms" Lewis on every meeting, Shaq owns Dwight and The King is The King.
You will always be a fan of the Orlando Tragic.

You guys only have a prayer at winning maybe 1 game if Michael Jordan gets off his fat ass and puts a jersey on.
Because as of now, he's better than most of your team.
This game was a joke. Jameer outscored your whole team in the first quarter.
I kinda feel bad for yall. Getting matched up with us in the first round lmao. Orlando isn't the cavs. You don't match up with us well AT ALL.
We're going to bury you in your town in Game 4.

Do you even know what owned means?
What we saw there on that court wasn't owned.
If we lost by 20+, then yes we would have gotten owned.
But we didn't, and thus you're using the wrong gaming term here.

Goes both ways, man. Van Gundy has figured out things as well.
It's normal for teams to come back when Dwight's in foul trouble, but the series isn't going to suddenly turn around just because of a comeback with Dwight's absence. Drawing fouls on Dwight was most likely the original part of the plan anyway.

Your 'Cats had their best (only?) chance at winning the series yesterday. You caught one of our worst halves of playoff basketball in quite some time and still couldn't capitalize on Dwight's foul trouble, Vince's horrendous shooting, and Matt Barnes' inexplicable absence from the rotation. I don't think you'll see Jameer go for a career-high again this series, but I also don't think you'll see D-12 limited to just 4 FG attempts.
I really like your team but it is clear who is the playoff-tested squad in this series and who is simply lucky to be there. I can see you guys stealing a game at home and making it a 5-game series, which will be nice because I like clinching at home. Best of luck in the offseason and next year.

I imagine 'ol SVG can't be too excited about that 2nd half; we only allowed the Magics 39 points total...and it was because of our stellar defense. Our wings are clearly superior, and no way in hell Jameer will shoot like he did in that 1st half (indeed; Felton now seems to have his number as Jameer couldn't get anything in the 2nd half). We've obviously gotten the right strategy on Dwight...we just have to have the wings drive and crash into him more.
The first game was the one I figured we'd drop due to nerves. If we can continue to play like we did for half the game last night I like our chances.
VC...keep shooting! You're our 6th best player!

OWNED BABY! The Magic are goin to the FINALS. Dwight is shootin 1 for 6 from the line! He gets extra fouls against a small market team..the ones he won't get against Lebron! Vince Carter is exactly who everyone says he is! Jameer Nelson scored 32 points, which won't happen again! Rashard Lewis earned $2 million for each 3 pointer he made! The Magic give up 20+ point leads! OWNED OWNED OWNED.
Yeah, you're a real genius. If that game made you superbly confident in your squad, then you're in for a real awakening. You caught one of OUR worst halves in the 1st half. But the Bobcats showed heart and clawed back when they should have just let the rout happen.
I am not saying the Bobcats are going to win the series, but after watching that game I know they are definitely capable of winning two. As for the Magic, they will be tested in the next round and there's no way they will make it past Cleveland. So go ahead, just take pride in beating a 5th year NBA team with talent that is inferior to yours...one that showed more intensity and heart than your boy Vince Carter has ever shown.
This is what pisses me off about homers. Just be realistic. No one here ever claimed that the Bobcats were equals to the Magic. So "owning" them isn't much of a statement...it's just too bad that was far from ownage.

as a magic fan i would definentely say we did not own you guys, i also would not take to many positives away from this game on either side of the ball. sure did you guys show a lot of heart, yes. did you get back into the game with D12 on the bench? yes.
the thing to remember is that this is a series and both coaches are great coaches, and by game 3 or 4 that is where things are going to get interesting. if SVG can match LB coaching instead of getting outcoached by him, this series will be over very quickly. if LB outcoaches him then it could go to 6 or maybe 7. but i think its obvious that you dont have the personel to keep up with the magic so your coach i think is going to have to do a amazing job to keep you in that series.
not trash talking here just making a observation based on what i saw last night. there is no way that jameer does what he just did all series long, no way. but there is no way that dwight goes for 5 again either, that was his lowest point total all year, but there is a chance that he averages 7+ blocks a game on you guys, history shows that he really loves to block you guys. i hope it stays somewhat close because the game was getting boring towards the end of the 2nd and beggining of the 3rd. its much more fun when its close.
in closing yesterday really didnt tell us crap about either team, things happened that normally dont happen and it happened in bunches. lets see what kind of adjustment the coaches make before we as magic fans start talking about ownage, cuz that shit just didnt happen last night.

Not quite.
Nelson has had 2 of 4 good games against Felton this season; on the flip Felton had 2 good games against Nelson. None of them even came close to what he did last night.
Nelson's in the 4 games: 4 points, 21 points, 16 points & 9 points
Felton in the 4 games: 16 points, 14 points, 13 points & 18 points
So yeah...32 IS that surprising...especially when you consider most all of it was in one half.
The help defense was not there for Ray in the first half...doubt it happens again...

This whole thread is a big joke. Next time I have no time on my hands I'll head over to your board and talk shit so I can make myself feel better.
You know what's funny? The fact that Dwight Howard becomes completely useless offensively when provoked by the likes of Tyson Chandler and Theo Ratliff, and that Vince "The Savior" Carter is better off on the bench. Its title or bust for you guys, and so far you've shown little to make me believe you'll even come close to that. But keep talking trash to the small market team with nothing to lose, the one that despite their worst half of basketball in recent memory, was only two possessions away from tying the game up late in the 4th quarter. Seriously, if it makes you feel better, keep on talking, and I'll keep pretending like I give a shit.

Good post. Please tell other Magic fans like yourself that they are always welcome.
Last night was a fiasco for sure. However, I felt very good about in the second half.
We did a terrible job of rotating to shooters, which we're normally good at, using long, athletic wings to help defend. Combining our terrible rotations with the Magic shooting lights out and it was ugly.
I also think we made some terrible 1st half plays due to playoff jitters, especially Felton. He's made bonehead plays in the past, but he's been pretty solid for most of the season. I don't expect him to overthrow lob passes into the stands like he did last night.
Overall, I agree that last night showed us little. Both teams were figuring each other out. I think this series will boil down to who focuses the most. On paper, you guys have the better team, but I like our chances. All of our bigs have been injured and are just now getting healthy. We haven't played as good as we can.

I have to wonder if Magic fans got on the Lakers forums and talked trash last year before they got OWNED. If I really thought the Bobcats were going to sweep and were going to waltz through the entire playoffs, I'd like to think I would enjoy those victories and not have to stoop to trolling the other team's boards to boost my confidence in the team.

Ray dominated Jameer in the second half. Most of Jameer's first half points had more to do with Jameer taking advantage of slow switchies then it did burning Felton, that only happened a few times. Orlando needed a few ridiculous calls/no calls to get the win last night, if they don't get those next time they could be in trouble.

I thought that most of Jameer's first half points came from a lack of defense in the paint. I could be wrong but I thought Jameer's points cam mostly when Nazr was in. Nazr was slow on defense and just lethargic overall when he was in.

Well, thats true too. I was talking more about the 3's, I think all of which happened during switches with the exception of the one that ended the half. There was definitely no help D in the first quarter.

Nice observation. Some sites like RGM were really killing on Felton, yet:
Felton not alone in failing to stop Nelson (http://www.charlotteobserver.com/2010/04/19/1387017/felton-not-alone-in-failing-to.html)
I don't think Felton played his best defense (I think he might have actually "forgot" the bigs were supposed to stay with Dwight and not help)...but all season long we've been covering that screen as a team.

I grew up in orlando and married a girl from charlotte and have spent a lot of time in your city, i can assure you that orlando as a metropolitan area is much larger than charlotte, the problem is that the city of orlando is very small as where you guys consider your borders of charlotte much farther out into the suberbs. if im not mistaken i had this conversation with my mother in law a while back and all of mecklenburg county is in those numbers as i can promise you its not like that in orlando. the orlando area is like 1.4 million+ or something like that. but the city, yep its small but that is based on a technicality.
anywho wasnt trying to start shit just clearing things up for people that have never even been to the city before and are completely just talking based off wikipedia. but maybe this will help as it gives you a clearler picture of the whole area itself.

well back on topic of basketball, what kind of adjustments do you think LB is going to make. if i had to guess what i think SVG is going to do i think he is preaching on the ball defense to keep dwight howard out of foul trouble. well that is what i think because we cant just funnel gerald and stack jack into dwight all game otherwise its going to be a long series for the magic.
