It would be too good to be true, and i'm pretty impossible to pull off. But hell, one can only dream.

I don't like LeBron. He can go somewhere else. I want a team, Not LeBron's massive contract and scrub pieces. We have our SF.

I wouldn't necessarily call Jamison, Mo Williams, and Varejao scrub pieces, but I wouldn't want LeBron, either. MJ can't afford it.

Which is why we could only have scrub pieces. Dan Gilbert and China can support a huge payroll. We can't.

Would be sick to see Jordan gettin in LeBron's face pumping him up in a tough playoff game. LeBron vs Jordan 1 on 1 in practice video. ESPN would give us our own channel. ESPNCATS

You gotta be kidding me. I would trade anyone and anything from this organization to get Lebron.

Crash/Diaw/Felton/Larry Brown/Ladycats/Rufus for Lebron.

Get it done

I don't see that EVER happening. Now I would settle for a very poor man's version of Lebron. I think the Bobcats could possibly swing a trade with the Warriors and take Corey Maggette off their hands. He can hit an outside shot, attacks the rim, and he shoots over 50% from the field. He would be a 20 point a night player and give the Bobcats a proven scorer.

LeBron James said Tuesday night that he would "love" to own an NBA team someday. Jordan assumed ownership of the Charlotte Bobcats in March, buying the club for $275 million from Bob Johnson.

"I would love to be in that position," James said. "It's a great position to be able to own a team and be able to put pieces together and make decisions."

Bron to the Bobcats...it would be nice. Bron at PG, Jax SG, Crash SF...that is very strong.

Won't happen though, extremely unlikely. It is possible, just extremely unlikely.

I am really not a big Lebron fan, but I would be foolish to say that having him on the team would not mean a permanent sell out of all future games and the likelihood of being a perennial playoff team.

Realistically, we can afford Lebron only if he plays 1 on 5 everygame because we could not afford anyone else.

THANK YOU! mj couldn't afford bron??? yeah the last think i would want as an owner is every game road and home sold out, concessions flying off the shelves, the highest selling jersey for the next 2 or 3 years, including yao and kobe and your personal brand's most prominent figure on your team. he is absolutely not worth paying the luxury tax. we already have a sf??? sorry crash, it's been real or sorry jax thanks for the good year.

good lord.

The guy makes some good points there. Its a pipe dream though. I love his point, that doing the opposite of what everyone thinks and says you should do is what will make him really legendary, not marketing legendary.

Cap guys... what would have to happen to make this happen? Obviously the luxury tax means nothing, because if you have Lebron, cash follows. The money in jersey sales and ticket sales would increase 10 fold. Thats just tickets and jerseys. But getting under the salary cap would be the deal.

Possible a sign and trade?

Say Lebron lets it be known that he is leaving Cleveland and would like to play in Charlotte. Cleveland could lose Lebron for nothing. So Nike, Jordan, Charlotte intervene and say look Cleveland, sign him to a max deal or whatever and then trade him to us. We will send you Gerald Wallace, Boris Diaw, next years 1st and 2nd round picks and Raja's trade exemption. You either lose him straight up, or you get some good peices in return.

DJ / ???
Jackson / Hendo
Lebron / Brown
Tyrus / Ajinca / Brown
Tyson / Ajinca / Nazr

That roster including Diop would leave us with about 17 million in cap space under the suspected 56.1 future cap. After that year a lot of salaries like Nazr and Tyson would come off the books. Am i way off here?

I dont know, but i just spent way too much time spitballing something that will never happen. carry on.

I thought, as soon as i read this: "this is a horrible article, poorly written, bad concept and bad at making his point" Lebron will be a huge question all off season. That is when he reaches the off season. Everyone will have an opinion and want to be the one who was right. "Told you Lebron was going to...." Somebody should make a phone call though. Every team in the league should at least ask.

i think he is staying. when he said he was changing his number from 23 to honor mj everyone assumed he was going to the bulls and had to drop it to play for them. the only material reason to change your jersey number...to sell more jersey. kobe did it when he knew he was staying a laker. if he goes to any other team in the league he can keep his number and sell more jersey's. by staying with the cavs, he has to change numbers to re-lease a new jersey.

(not sure about the second rounder) but we are not allowed to trade them. Better - we are allowed to trade a first rounder no sooner than 2014 (two years later after Bulls get our first rounder from Tyrus Thomas trade).

No thanks.

Bron at SG and Wallace at SF.

Depending on what they do with Felton, they could get a PG or a decent center (Jefferson) for Jackson. Jackson proved his worth to this team in the 1st round.

Get rid of him if you can, and keep Wallace.

Jackson, Augustine, and Diaw should be trade bait.
