No surprise I suppose...

It's about as surprising as the Bulls losing to the Cavs.
What no-name they hire next is what'll be surprising.
I do think Vinny can coach, though...

I thought Del Negro did a solid job on the Bulls. He did stuff up, but he did do some great stuff with the Bulls. But yeah, everyone saw it coming.
While I expected this (mainly because everyone said it was coming), I'm a little bothered. Was Vinny ever in position to win? Shit, the Bulls make no effort to bring back their leading scorer Ben Gordon, and have been gearing up for the Summer of '10 for the past few years. Aside from Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah this team doesn't have a lot of good pieces. Yet, despite this, Del Negro still manages to coach this sorry excuse for a team to the playoffs the 2 years he's there.
In my opinion he was put in a no win situation. I'm not saying he's Phil Jackson, but I think he got the short end of the stick.
IMO he proved he can coach...suppose to be a very positive guy...and his players wanted him back...all says a lot for him...I think he'll get another "gig" sooner rather than later...

When the bulls traded Tyrus Thomas and Salmons I thought management was trying to tank the season. They would rather have a shot at the john wall sweepstakes then a first round playoff exit. I don't think Vinny was a great coach but he did a good job with what he had.

Since Bernie Bickerstaff was one of Vinny's assistants, will he be dismissed as well?

It had to be done,Vinny can coach though. He left the team with the players respect, that's what matters.
