Why don't let Jordan teach GW jumpshot / fadeaway?

everyone know GW can't shoot

Jordan can do his personal coach :cool:

Gerald's shot is ugly, for sure, but his percentages are way up. Having MJ try to change his shot wouldn't help much. Most guys in the league say "You don't have to have a perfect shot, you just have to be good at your own." Gerald's getting there.

Wallace had the third best 3pt % on the team last year behind only Felton and DJ. He had the best 3pt % in the playoffs.

Nobody says Jackson or Hughes can't shoot but Wallace is better then those guys already according to the stats.

When Crash shoots a jumper, none of us cringe as we use to. Same with Felton. Both have boosted their shot % that when they shoot an open 3, more likely than not they'll knock it down. Sure Crash's shot might be butt ugly, but it's getting pretty consistent if you ask me.

Ditto that.

Crash's outside J looked pretty solid as the year progressed.

He's not someone you want creating a perimeter shot off the dribble, but he looked very comfortable hitting shots from deep if he got a good look.

Proper form is always a good thing but the main thing with good shooting is touch and Wallace seems to have found that, so I don't think its necessary to alter his shot.

He still shoots from the side of his head as opposed to shooting in front, above his right eyebrow. His elbows are as they should be and his release is fine. He's improved his percentage other than free throws but i'm not complaining. The thing is MJ was born to shoot GDub was born to defend.

That, and Gdub was made to also make huge posterizing dunks, rebound the ball, have huge clutch blocks, big putback dunks, hit key shots, draw fouls, draw charges, and look awesome while doing it.

Got to love how everyone expects Michael Jordan to not only run everything involved in the organization, but to come down and teach the players about the game. The first thing you have to ask yourself is: Why isn't Larry Brown doing it? That's part of what he gets paid for, right?

Being an owner of a multi million dollar organization consumes so much of their time. Honestly, I think when he goes down to watch the game...that's about the only time he really gets to sit down and kinda rest himself.

And he doesn't exactly get to rest either considering how into the game he gets.

As I recall from his college days, MJ wasn't exactly a pure shooter himself. He became a good mid-range jump shooter and was decent from 3, but he was always more of a scorer than a shooter.

I'm pretty happy with where GW's jumpshot is now, compared to where it was a couple of years ago. The work he's put in on his jumper and at the FT line is obvious. He's not a naturally gifted shooter, obviously, so as long as he continues to make baby steps forward, as he's done, I think that's about as much as we can ask for.

Jordan was insane from mid range. His fadaway jumper from mid was damn near unblockable and kept him a top level scorer even in his Washington days. What you said, though, reminded me of this video:
