Tequila

In my cabinet I have a little bit of Tequila.

Tequila is one of the few liquors that I've never tried in my many, many years walking the earth ( the color has always scared me off ).

But this weekend I'm going to pop my tequila cherry... so to speak ;)

My question is this, Do I drink it straight? do I mix it with something? What do I mix it with? What food goes best with it?

Enlighten me in the ways of this really funny looking beverage.

When in doubt Google about.No seriosuly, i drink tequila on occasion,don't drink it much at all, prefer whiskey/bourbon.I just drink tequila straight up as shots or with lime juice.It goes nice with corn chips and a spicy salsa or raw fish salad.The lick-shot-suck method is fun when you're at a bar or something but other than that just dring it in shot glasses ay mate.

I'm not much of a drinker, but I'll step out on a ledge and say tequila would be good with............. Mexican food.

That would seem to make sense, but I'm a little hesitant to mix tacos, burritos and this strange urine colored liquor.

When I was young, I had an Indiana Jones game. You could trade your rope or something for tequila. Drinking it dropped your hp pretty dramatically (if I recall), so it's your call :biggrin:

I like just about any good liquor straight. Quality tequila tastes pretty good. However, I love margaritas, so that's my preferred method.
