Time to put these old, brittle bones to rest. :paddle:

can you do me a favor and have one of the Magic players punch Kevin Garnett right in the mouth sometime during the course of this series?
I'll be rooting for the Magic, I've actually always liked them because of Dwight Howard, VC, and Jameer Nelson.
Tough series...Celtics playing better but I see the Magic in 6...at least I hope...

Oh, no doubt. Given his track record, it'll likely be Barnes, but from a tactical perspective, he's too valuable to be thrown out.
We'll get AJ to do it.

We had enough bigs to play Howard one on one, the Celtics are showing the league how it's done today.

Look at the ESPN front page, Ray Allen still has some ups!
Thank you, Ray Allen and "The Truth," for reminding me why the C's are my second team. Beating the LeBronettes is one thing, but holding Dwight down is impressive. Good job. Now do it three more times.

Ewwwwwwwww.....
Well, that was anticlimactic.
We got thrashed, Celts definitely deserved this one. Shard and Dwight were for the most part, awful.
Ugh...
Oh well, I'm confident we can take one or two in Boston.
This sucks.

I don't want the Celtics anywhere near the Championship. Step it up Magic.

LOL. I've always liked Boston sports. Boston U, BoSox, Bruins, and the C's.
If it was Cavs-Magic, I'd be going for you guys. But I like the C's. Doc, Ray, Pauly, KG, and Rondoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

I don't fault you. I have a hard time disliking Boston, too. Although I would attribute SOME of the missed shots to the long layoff, they played great defense today. The lack of whistles? Love it, though I hope it goes both ways. That last play when Dwight got fouled on an offensive putback could have been a crucial call, but it wasn't.
At this point, I can only really dislike them for being so successful. It's time for another team to win a championship, especially if it's their first (ORL/PHX).
Game 2 will be radically different. I predict our team to come out with far greater energy and put the game away before crunch time. I expect a good bounce back.
I'm looking at you, Shard!

I don't. They openly camped for the entire season trying to get Greg Oden in that draft.
Same reason why I have no respect for, and never could root for, the Knicks, Nets, and other teams that gutted their teams (and disrespected and wasted their fans money) in order to get LeBron.

So basically you have about 3 teams in the whole league you don't hate?
And actually, they wanted Durant, not Oden.

Hyperbole much? And show me where it stated they wanted Durant. Especially with Paul Pierce on the roster.

Ainge wanted Durant. I don't know any places it's been written, but Simmons has repeatedly said it on podcasts. And he's quick to criticize that FO, so I'm pretty sure it's accurate.
And what teams (outside the 'Cats, obv., and probably the Lakers) have never tanked?

Since I've been an NBA fan? (Even if I'm wrong on some, it's vastly more than 3)
Orlando
Atlanta
Milwaukee
Charlotte
Chicago
Toronto
Indiana
Detroit
Philly
Washington
LA Lakers
Dallas
Phoenix
Denver
Utah
Portland
San Antonio
Houston
Memphis
New Orleans
LA Clippers
Golden State
Sacramento

LA Clippers
How long have you been an NBA fan?
And uh, the Clippers tank every year. As soon as Stirling realizes they aren't making the playoffs, he wants #1.

What? Obviously not all these teams have tanked in the last decade, but over the course of their time in the NBA? No doubt. There are very few teams who don't. The Clippers do. Any team that sits a player just to sit them that's not making the playoffs is guilty of "tanking." Perhaps our definition of "tanking" differs, but I can find examples using my definition for most non-playoff teams.

Boston and Charlotte are my 2 favorite teams.Always been a huge fan of Ray Ray, KG,Pierce and Rondo.Tom Thibodeau is the next great coach.
Go Boston.I just root for the underdog team whenever they play each other.
