So, as we've all read in previous posts, there are several teams out there willing to sell (Atlanta) or trade (Memphis, Philly) their picks, or big name players (wizards) with issues.
What kind of time frame would we start to see these moves happen if they do ? I mean we're only about a month out from the draft, and from the "feel" of it, the playoffs are going to go into early June.
Don't most major moves happen once the finals are over? I can't recall some big trade happening while the playoffs were still going on.
Yeah, once Boston beats LA :D That's when it should start. And with the labor issues, I'm guessing there's going to be a lot going on.

I think March 1st is the last date a player can be signed until the July moratorium, ending when the NBA determines the salary cap for the year.
Trades can take place between teams whose season has ended. However, they can't trade players whose contracts will or might end, as is the case in option years.
There's no real reason to trade players until draft night, as it reduces your options.
The "biggest" deals before draft night (usually) are teams buying picks...that could happen in our case but other teams (Cavs) are also lining up to buy a first so it could be interesting...as for draft night...
I'm not sure we can make a major trade since we'd either hurt ourselves or the players we'd like to move have no appeal to other teams...our biggest splash (IMO) will be if we buy a pick(s)...

I would not be surprised if DJ (or another of our draft picks other than Hendo) was on the move.
Just sayin.
