(Sorta) We apparently contacted him and are bringing him in the week of June 12th to workout and possibly get a spot on the team for next year.

I don't know how many of you guys keep up with ACC basketball consistently, but watching him a couple of years ago, I loved this guy's game at Georgia Tech and was surprised he didn't catch on with anybody considering the garbage some teams are signing (here's looking at you Primoz).

The guy was an absolute beast at GT. He dunked on EVERYONE. He's got ridiculous hops and if I recall correctly, he could get chippy too, but mostly I just remember the dunks because not only did I see them in most games he played, but he usually made Sportscenter's Top 10 several times a season.

I'm not getting super hyped up b/c in the article it mentions he has 2 previous tryouts with NBA teams and it didn't work out, but there IS a reason we contacted him. I know there's a lot of politics in the NBA, so I hope he comes in beasting during the workouts and sticks with us. I mean, Jack was playing in third world countries before getting his real chance.

I definitely remember him. He was a super athlete and a great dunker, but unfortunately, that's about the best that could be said about him. His basketball skills were average at best. He's definitely not an NBA talent. He was fun to watch though.

Guess it will be cool having a new face around, cant see him being anything special though. He just seems to be someone with mega hops and athleticism, we better hope LB really really likes coaching

I remember him at the ACC tourney I think, but there's a reason he's not in the U.S.

Jack wasn't physically gifted enough out of HS, that's why he had to play in crazy places. Ish isn't smart enough for the NBA.

Not enough dimensions to his game unless he has really improved overseas...I doubt he sticks but who knows?

If I recall, Muhammad is basically a poor man's Hendo. If I recall he's got the athleticism, but he doesn't have the mid-range game of Hendo, nor the defensive prowess. But I'm not 100% sure on that.

I'm assuming we'll get a bunch of these types of articles over the summer as we add folks to our Summer League roster and our preseason roster. I wouldn't make a whole lot out of it, as most of these guys won't stick. One or two might, though. I certainly love to see ACC guys make it.

Don't know why we need him when we already have Hendo, but it really wouldn't shock me. LB loves these type of guys. It wouldn't really shock me either if we found a way to get Whiteside in the draft. He seems a lot like Ajinca.

Whiteside has "bust" written all over him. I'd rather have Patterson.
