so i dont rate Mo at all and am still flabbergasted (great word i know) about how he became and all star but read the end of the article on Delonte West
3 good things about him are:
He can PG and SG
He is a good 3 point shooter and defender, he could be good of the bench for us
If we terminate his contract before 5 August we would only pay 500,000 and save 4.3 million and create a little more cap space.
I think Delonte could be good off the bench, but also could do us well by ending his contract early
Thoughts?

Definate no from me with West. I don't mind Mo, but nono for West. The dude has more head problems than Cpt. Jack and TT combined.

I wanna say yes to delonte, because I like his game alot, but I have to say no. As TooCool said, he brings way more problems than what we already have.
However, I would love to see Mo Williams here. He's a guy that can score alot, and distrbute the ball well. Bring him in! Sign and trade Raymond for him?

But what do you guys think about terminating his contract? we save 4.3 mil and will give us some more cap space to wiggle with. Or am i missing something? i only just figured out recently how caps and luxury taxes work. Our sports work wayyyyy different over here.
And with Mo, a team like the cavs he has had no PG responsiblities. He ahs been a 3 shooter pretty much LBJ has basically played point. I dont know if i would want someone who has little creation in our team. Our team needs some flair and someone to rack up assists. Mo has awful defense aswell, not an LB like player iw ould imagine as LB also hates the 3.
And finally Mo just seems to go missing in play offs... remind you of anyone??? cough *ray* cough. Do we really want to have someone else like that
If you want to trade for Wests' contract don't you think the Cavs will actually want something in return? Might be possible to work out something if they still want Jax but LB (if here) will not want to go young...I'd pass on both myself...

If you think Ray got burnt by Jameer, how do you think Mo would have done?

I would rather have Nate Robinson then either of these guys.
If we wanted to trade say Nazr for West and then cut him for salary reasons, I would be alright with it. So long as that means we keep TT and Felton.

After acquiring Delonte West all we would have to do is acquire Michael Beasley from Miami... then we'd have a true cast of thugs.
Seriously, though, West and Williams are great players who I think would fit well in the Bobcats system.

No thanks on both accounts, unless it's a salary dump where we cut West then I would entertain the thought.
i like delonte's game, but he is a mental breakdown waiting to happen. also, i think both players performances the last few years are completely tied to lebron. neither are even close to as good as their stats show without lebron. if ray was on the cavs he would have at least 2-4 more assists per game and probably 2-5 more points.

Dont know about more assits, Lebron basically plays point for them :p
because Mo isn't a great point. ray would allow lebron to not have to be a point forward as much.

i would never want to see mo williams at the point for the bobcats. he is too inconsistent and i dont like a score first pg like him. delonte west is a player, and would fit nice off the bench for us. but i dont want him going after any moms of the bcats like he did lebron. i like nate robinson too. i think he'd be perfect for those stretches where the bobcats forget to play offense.

There are trade rumors circulating that Cleveland is going to trade Mo Williams to Charlotte for D.J. Augustin.
Dunno how accurate that is.

Make them take Diop too or hang up the phone.

Since we've pretty much never got a great deal other than Jax I'm sure we'd give them Nazr instead.
At least I can see them considering this an upgrade.

Isn't Mo really just an older, more expensive DJ?

Except Mo has "been there" and "done that". Maybe an already refined version?
3 years with the last 2 being player options:
9.3 million/8.5 million/8.5 million.

I would do this. Then have both JJ and TT or perhaps trade TT

The trade I ran on the Trade Checker at ESPN was this:
Charl sends DJ and Diop to Clev, and Clev sends Mo and JJ back to Charl. The analysis said Charl gained +5 in the deal and Cavs were a -10.

I don't know how MJ and brown can say no if they were offered this
the conversation would go
cavs: "we send you mo and hickson for diop..."
jordan: "deal. verbal agreements are legally binding. no take backs"

I don't see AT ALL Diop and DJ going to Cleveland for JJ and Mo. It just won't happen. Simply because Diop's contract is huge and fat, just like the indent he has left on the pine.

ya ur crazy if u think the cavs r going to take diop...they are trying to make the team more enticing for lebron, not make him wanna leave more...plus, dj is not better then mo, so whats the point of swapping them...an lastly, the main reason the cavs didnt get amare at the deadline was because they didnt wanna give up hickson, so what makes u think they would give him up for a dj/diop package?!
