ESPN did a piece on the top coaches in any sport in honor of John Wooden, and they had the readers vote for their top 10.

10. Larry Brown -- "He's been the Johnny Appleseed of basketball, spreading it across the land." -- Tom K., Las Vegas.

Phil Jackson didn't make the list...

Are you kidding me? That list is bs. I love what Larry has done here and every thing, dont get me wrong, but no way he deserves to make that list when he has only won 1 chapionship at the pro level. He has been on too many teams and never is in one place for long to be considered great. He also failed with the Knicks(Isiah had alot to do with that, I know...).
Phil has 10 friggin championships.....about to be 11. Sure he's had he two greatest of all time on his teams but I bet they would not have won without Phil....imagine if the Bulls had Sam Vincent back then? Or the Lakers had PJ Carlisemo or something.....wouldnt have worked out the same. Plus Phil runs a great, and confusing offense that not nayone can teach and coach.

No one could have done anything with those Knicks teams - all headcases with bad contracts and the worst front office in NBA history. Larry is a teacher, not a miracle worker.

They did...

And LB is also the only coach to win a NCAA and NBA title. He's taken everyone but the Knicks to the playoffs and he's coached a bunch of HoF'ers. That's no coincidence.
