Don't think we have a thread dedicated to other teams' trades.

Starting the ball rolling...per Chad Ford:

Sources: Kings get 76ers' Dalembert (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=5297829)

The Philadelphia 76ers (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/clubhouse?team=phi) have agreed to swap Samuel Dalembert (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/profile?playerId=991) to the Sacramento Kings (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/clubhouse?team=sac) for Andres Nocioni (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/profile?playerId=2456) and Spencer Hawes (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/profile?playerId=3211), two league sources told ESPN.com.From the conversations Philly will save around 3 million this season, which would put them under the LT limit.

I think both teams win there, Phili wanted to clear some cap and got a decent player in Hawes.

Also, anyone seen the new Warriors' jersey? I'm digging it.

Toronto Raptors Free Agent Workout - Ridiculous Upside (http://www.ridiculousupside.com/2010/6/18/1524261/toronto-raptors-free-agent-workout)

Bernard Robinson (http://www.sbnation.com/nba/players/21548/Bernard_Robinson), SF, New Orleans Hornets (NBA) - I'm utterly confused by Robinson being on this list.

After being a second round pick of the Charlotte Bobcats in 2004, it seemed like he'd become a decent NBA role player - he even started 18 games in his second season (it was for the Bobcats, but still). In the middle of the 2007 season, however, he was traded to the Nets and, after not getting much scratch, he tore his ACL the following Summer.
The 6-foot-7 swingman was then traded, and quickly released, to the Hornets for David Wesley - looking like the MCL injury had ended his career.

Randomly, he popped up a year later (in the Summer of 2008) on the Portland Trail Blazers Summer League roster - though the comeback didn't go as planned as he averaged just 6.0 points and 6.2 rebounds while a paltry 42% from the field.

The Michigan alum hasn't played in the NBA, or anywhere else, for the past two seasons.

I'm friends with him on facebook, and I had no clue he was even trying to get back into the league. He seems like a partyboy.

Bucks get Maggette and GSW get Charlie Bell and Dan Gadzuric

Golden State takes a huge contract by taking Gadzuric and loses tons of offense by shipping out Maggette. What are they thinking?

Gadzuric is in the final year of his contract...

They're saving like 15 million.

GSW fans dubbed Maggette "bad porn". There's a reason for that...

There is no such thing as bad porn. A paper bag solves just about everything...except gay porn

Andray Blatche breaks his left foot (http://voices.washingtonpost.com/wizardsinsider/2010/06/andray-blatche-broke-his-left.html)

Just threw it in here as I didn't want to create another thread.

I'm reading thru the thread on the WIZ board at RGM about the Hinrich trade. About halfway thru it comes out that they may be paying 3 million in cash to the Bulls for that pick AND that the Clips' interest in making a similar deal has been discounted...that it was most likely a smokescreen by the Bulls to push Washington to bite.

Perspective:

OKC got Cook and the 18th...cost around 3 million
WIZ got Hinrich and the 17th...cost around 20 million

Boy did they get taken.

Edit: Ok, farther along they're thinking the Wiz get the 3 million...so that'd knock the cost back down to 14 million for the 17th pick.

Bargain!

I'm actually glad the Cats didn't have a pick this year. Just one more contact for people to complain about. This team already has alot of young talent, No reason to pick up someone else so LB can waste their talent on the bench all year.

Grizzlies Shoo Away Ronnie Brewer (http://nba.fanhouse.com/2010/06/30/grizzlies-shoo-away-ronnie-brewer/)

Pretty shocking. That kid was a starter for the Jazz not so long ago.

Avery want's Bernie for the Nets' GM position:

http://www.nj.com/nets/index.ssf/2010/07/nj_nets_the_flight_home.html

He told us he will influence the selection. But Avery Johnson should also approve of the selection, and we’re told he’s already made his choice: Bernie Bickerstaff, who coincidentally brought Avery into the league 18 years ago.

That would work. Actually, we can think of five guys who would be fine for the job, as long as the regime change also includes fitting existing VP Bobby Marks into the present hierarchy. We don’t know whether Bernie wants this level of engagement – he’s really the coach-emeritus type nowadays -- or whether they’d even consider him. We just know, based on his work in Charlotte, that he’d be a pretty good fit.

Wouldn't it be the other way around?

He's offering them 45 million over 3 years to give him all the food he can eat in that time period.

They'd go broke, like Latrell Sprewell. They need $121 million over 7 seasons.

Oklahoma City Waives Weaver (http://basketball.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/68446/20100730/oklahoma_city_waives_weaver/#)

I know guys like Beagle really liked Weaver, but after Dallas trade bringing in Hammer I don't know that we'd have room to take him back on.

Maybe if another trade goes down, but with Hendo and Matty, I don't think there's room.

But if we somehow turned Kyle Weaver into Derrick Brown AND Kyle Weaver, that'd be impressive.

Loved Weaver, he had a pretty good rookie year and plays defense with a nice outside shoot. Too bad we don't have a spot for him.

I liked him too, hopefully he gets picked up by someone.
