We are all doomed to a backwards reality where this guy is a champion. Luckily, he will be taking his rings to Europe next year. Congrats to Shannon Brown though. I would have never thought his career would pick up once he signed with the Bobcats.

lol i mean i don't really..hate him. it just kind of annoys me that he put such a giant dent in the progress of our franchise (not his fault we drafted him..) and we shipped him away to repeat NBA champions. Whereas a guy like Crash who legitimately deserves a shot at a title may not get that chance.

Let's be fair, here:
Adam Morrison - 2

LeBron James - 0
I think Morrison taking the lead on Scalabrine really has to get in Scalabrine's head.

One of the biggest jerks in the NBA....wow, okay sorry he "threw a basketball at your face"(lol). You are probably one of the idiots that yelled at him every game no matter if he was playing like Kobe or not. And I happened to have met him before and he sure as heck didnt seem like a jerk to me
And what is my obsession with him...have u not ever seen someone who sticks up for his favorite player? What do you want me to do, say he sucks and hopes he never does well again? I have other favs....and I know hes not the greatest.....why do you care about who my fav player is anyway?
And why would I change my name? People these days...."O he sucks....I dont like him anymore.....duhhh, lemme change my username on a messageboard so no body knows he's my favorite player!"

haha first of all, how am i the idiot an ur ass is reppin Adam Morrison???...2nd of all, i used to work for the bobcats as a ball boy back when the nba switched from those composite balls back to leather ones...i figured the dude would want a leather ball since thats what they r playin with now so i tossed him one and turned back to the ball rack when all the sudden i hear him yell "WTF IS THIS? GET THIS SHIT OUTTA HERE"...right when i turned around i caught the ball he had slung at my head, right b4 it hit my face...but ya ur right...he's not a spoiled little brat...whining about basketballs and cursing at ppl trying to help him is perfectly normal right??man i could list off plenty of stories for u...the dudes a prick
I happened to have met him before and he sure as heck didnt seem like a jerk to me
excuse me...i didnt know u met him...that must mean he's a nice guy...umm no...so many times him an may would be all nice to the fans or the media and then the second the camera goes off or the fans go away, they were back to being douchebags
why do you care about who my fav player is anyway?

LOL Im sure he was aiming for your head. I get the feeling you havent ever liked the guy?
You know it does matter to me that I have met him......not all players are nice when you meet them....alot could care less about fans and cameras. All I know is that Adam Morrison was nice enough to sign an autograph for me, take a picture, and talk with me for a minute or two.
But I must be completly wrong because you were a ballboy....oh what an accomplishment. You probably know everything about all the players right? Did you see Adam eat something that you dont like to eat? Is that one of your stories that makes him the biggest jerk in the NBA?
Guys, chill out. It's not worth it.

Yes, he has his two rings. But notice that he was in a suit and not even dressed for Game 7. A hanger-on with a ring is not something he should brag about. When his playing days are done at the end of his Contract, he can wear them and tell people he sat next to Kobe on the bench and actually had Kobe's sweat rub off on him. That is about all he can brag about. I dont hold any ill will towards him though. He just isn't an NBA player and we wasted a #3 pick on him. It is only frustration Bobcat fans feel, not actual animosity -unless he hit you in the face with a ball on purpose. In that case, you have every right to wish him ill will.
LOL at that fist pump he gave Bynum.
Here's the deal, ammofan likes Morrison because of a good experience he had with him, Weezy doesn't because he had a bad experience with him and quite frankly if Morrison threw a ball at me I wouldn't like him either. But the point is neither of you will change each other's minds.
My animosity towards him is the same as many Bobcats fans, directed at the idiot that picked him over Brandon Roy and Rudy Gay. In my mind, he's a top 10 draft bust. He showed signs of potential his rookie year, then he got hurt and lost every bit of confidence he once had. All of it. For some reason he went from a gunslinger to being afraid to shoot. I'll never understand that.
The only thing I really don't like about him is his mustache, but if it works for him so be it.
But guys, you do have to give him guts for this.

See I mean I respect what your saying. I just hate when people bash him for no real reason and then people get mad when I say something supportive about him.
Dont get me wrong, I wish we had drafted Roy or Gay or Aldridge(He was picked 4 and traded for #2 Tyrus Thomas). I know he hasnt lived up to any hype at all but I can still like him as a player right?
I think he went from gunslinger to afraid to shoot because he wasnt ready mantally for the NBA. He is a small town guy who made it big and I dont think he necessarily knew how to handle himself. You gotta remember that he was GREAT in college and he was quite a big star. Then he came to Charlotte where he was coming off the bench and criticized for everything. I just think he didnt know how to handle it. He was trying to please everyone and when he started not shooting well, he stopped shooting. Then people were yelling at him from the stands to shoot as soon as he got the ball and he just got frustrated. Unfortunatley he just isnt the same NBA Player as College player. He did play well in his rookie year. He had great games(ala the @Minnesota game) in his rookie year....then the knee injury came, Larry Brown came and here we are today. Hopefully Adam plays somewhere next year where he can at least play a little and earn back some respect from some of you guys.
Oh and I dont just like him because I met him, I followed him all thru his college days. I think I started noticing him in his sophomore year, I cant remember and I just started watching him. I guess I admired his play style and how intense he played....he was(and still is for me) a fun player to watch.

Actually, Aldridge WAS picked number 2. We never had a shot at him.
I'm more angry about passing up Lopez for DJ than the Ammo pick. The Ammo pick was an honest mistake that a lot of teams might have made that year. Morrison was hot stuff coming out of college.
Picking Lopez over DJ was way more clear cut, in my mind. And I fear that Augustin, with his OWN confidence issues and physical limitations, ain't all that far from turning into Ammo Part 2 for the Bobcats. Both are supposedly good shooters, but look at the percentages they have put up apart from DJ's rookie year......
Back to Morrison:
Not only was he a small-town guy, but he played college ball in the same small town where he went to high school, and where his parents still lived.
So being in Charlotte, was, in a sense, his first stage of life truly away from Mom and Dad. I assume. And I'm sure it was culture shock, 'cause this definitely isn't the Northwest.
I'd love to see him come back here someday and drop 15-20 on us, as long as we win. That'd be kinda fun.

Well I knew it was Aldridge or Thomas 2 or 4....I get them mixed up :D
Anyway, I feel the same way about DJ. He will end up being traded too, and probably win a ring or two lol. I wanted Lopez in that draft big time! Can you imagine if we had him now???
And your entirely correct about Adam. He never played on the big stage...and when he did, and his team lost, he didnt know how to handle it(ala the crying game vs. UCLA). And can you imagine being in his situation? Going from HS at Mead HS in Spokane, to Gonzaga for college where he was a ball boy as a kid, and then he was expected to be the next larry Bird. It was alot for a guy to handle.
Also, Adam is a weird guy. I will admit lol. But its because he's from that area of the country. It is like their culture lol
He is a good guy, who is probably miserbale that he cant play. He is a guy who worked very hard to get back into good shape to play after that knee injury. He even loked good in the Summer League last summer. I just am hoping he gets another chance in the NBA, hopefully somewhere where he can play! And I will be very happy if he comes back to Charlotte and goes crazy on us! haha

Two fond memories of Adam at the arena:
1. His first ever half of regular season play, against the Indiana Pacers. Adam came off the bench and scored 11 points in the first 2 quarters, leading us at halftime. This included his near-half court turnaround fadeaway catch-and-shoot at the buzzer off Jake Voskuhl's inbounds pass. He scored his FIRST points on a tricky move against someone named Stephen Jackson. My boys and I were like, "MAN, we got ourselves a player!!"
2. Exhibition season vs. the New Jersey Nets, Fall 2007:
With about 300 people in attendance, Adam looks sharp and confident, scoring 15 points with a mere 7 shot attempts off the bench. He looks eager to improve upon his rookie season. The next time anybody other than a bunch of middle-schoolers sees Adam playing in downtown Charlotte again is a full year later, recovering from a devastating injury in a system that doesn't suit him.

I know I won't be popular for this but here goes. I truly believe AdMo is much better a player than we have witnessed with the Bobcats. I think for AdMo his injury and struggles coming off of such hurt his confidence and he never really shook that.
Before AdMo retires as a pro basketball player he will be a regular top 6th man. He won't live up to being the third pick in the NBA draft but he will not be a complete bust when his career is all said and done. A year in Europe and AdMo will be ready to come back to the NBA and win a spot on a team where he actually plays solid minutes.

I am not sure how good AdMo feels about having two rings. It is not like he contributed very much or anything to the Lakers success. Personally I don't really think I would be all that exited about winning a title if I was not much of a contributor to that title.
That is just me though.

I don't know why teams don't send players who are suffering from confidence issues to a sports psychologist. It just seems like if a team is going to spend a ton of money and time on a player that they would at least explore every option to get the best from that player.
A sports psychologist seems to make sense as a final option. Baseball players have done this, namely pitchers and many of them came back stronger and playing confident and inspired.

That Andrew Bynum fist pump clip is hilarious! He looks like a trainer on the team who wants to give the basketball player some kudos. Bynum is like..sure, kid, why not?
It doesn't matter though..he's got rings!
I agree with BobCatsFanInTx, I mean we saw his flashes of good play before he got hurt, I remember a PTI debate after he dropped 25 in a game and Tony was saying he could end up being the next Larry Bird (I know it sounds ridiculous now). Regardless, before he got hurt, before his confidence was shot, the kid could ball.
