His sense of humor is still solid....

At around the 6:09 mark, it almost sounds like he implies that he didn't like his Charlotte teammates at the end of his stay here. He kind of stumbles on his words there, avoiding a negative comment. What do you think?

Can he crack an NBA rotation someday in the right system?

I have a feeling they were hard on him. They "teased" him to cut his hair and we all know how far teasing can go. I'm sure that had something to do with his loss of confidence. His career isn't over, but his next stop will be make or break. He is easy to make fun of, and I've done it plenty of times, but he seems like a pretty chill guy, and unless he throws a ball at my face :biggrin: I will have nothing against him personally.

Still might make fun of him from time to time though. All out of fun of course. :p

I think his problem here was he just wasn't mentally tough enough. Considering how he was boo hooing at the end of his NCAA career we should have seen it coming.

The injury was unfortunate. LB was probably a bad fit, but he gave up here. There are lots of very talented basketball player who never get the type of shot he had.

Morrison will never amount to anything in this league. Maybe I'm just bitter, but it seems like a guy who has no purpose except to score who only shot 37% percent in his best season as a pro, who has no confidence, probably can't defend a single wing in the league and is injury prone probably doesn't have a lot of interest from other teams, regardless of what his agent says.

I think in a way it isn't Ammo's fault he became a bust. He was a number 3 draft pick and so there was this HUGE expectation on him to develop into a great, if not all-star caliber player. His first year was great, showed some great stuff, had confidence. Then injury hit. He comes back, and is shaky. Crowd gets into him because he's struggling with his shot and that they want him to show what he showed last year. The kid just couldn't handle it.

It is a shame that he turned out this badly in his career so far. He could be something far better, but I think it was the pressure, expectation and taunting of the Charlotte people that got to him and killed his confidence. Some people are more resilient at taking taunting and teasing then others, I don't think Ammo could of taken it.

Other athletes have done this to great success. Namely those in baseball. When you invest so much time, money, energy and confidence in a guy and he begins to look shaky and fall far short of expectations, you as an organization should do everything you can to restore that players confidence before you give up on that player.

The reason AmMo never played in LA is that Phil Jackson never intended to play him. He didn't need him since he had a more than capable team without any in game performances from AmMo. What AmMo may have gotten from the experience may be invaluable though. He got to practice against some of the best players and best coached players in the NBA. He got to see first hand the greatness of the Zen Master and I am sure some sage wisdom from said coach.

I believe AmMo was fine while with the Bobcats organization but he struggled while on the team and I am sure because of his struggles and his overblown expectations he caught some light hearted barbs from his teammates. When you are struggling you really don't feel like being the whipping boy playfully or otherwise.

That said I don't think AmMo took any of it personal. You have to remember that when AmMo left the Bobcats the organization was still struggling right along with him. I am sure the maturity and continuity level of a team like Charlotte was a bit different at the time than what he experienced with the Lakers. That is not to say we had a bad group of guys on our team but there is something to be said from being around guys who are winners and champions.

I beleive AmMo could very well be a much better person and player for having been in LA with Phil Jackson and the Lakers. The Zen master is a master of minds and even though AmMo was never going to play I am sure Phil in his own way played a psycholigist for AmMo.

Whatever happens, I wish AmMo nothing but the best in the future basketballwise or whatever else he does.

You guys can overlook my analysis of AmMo but mark my words, AmMo willone day be something more than a washed up, forced out of the NBA player.

At least where AmMo is concerned you saw a guy who never quit or took the game lightly.

Sean May on the other hand became a lazy no count who did nothing to try and endear himself to the fans or his teammates.

AmMo was never going to be a great or even above average defender, that should have been apparent when he left college. However as an offensive threat there should be no doubt that AmMo has the skills. Confidence and being soft were and are AmMos biggest weaknesses.

If AmMo gets stronger both physically and especially mentally he will have a solid 6th man type of NBA career. Not really the kind of career that matches up to being the third pick in the NBA draft but he will not be a total flop. If he ends up done for and never plays in another NBA game I will stand corected.

History is not filled with many guys like AmMo who wind up turning things around and being more than a guy burried on a bench somewhere but it has had a few success stories.

If I am correct, AmMo's biggest challenge is not a physical or talent one but a mental one. If AmMo gets that taken care of in some way he will have a solid NBA career with flashes of All-Star type play.

Maybe AmMo feels good about having been camped on a bench and winning two titles but I am guessing AmMo would rather have been a player who contributed to at least a teams playoff run and/or success than a bench guy on a back to back title team.

Stockton and Malone at least played a role in their teams successes. At the end of the day even if they did not win a title they had HOF careers and came very close to winning it all.

I could win 100 titles on a team but sitting on a bench just does not mean much in doing so.
