View Full Version : No Need to Panic
I know a lot of us are in panic mode right now, but consider this, we won 44 games this year despite a really bad start. What if Jackson and TT had been here since the beginning of the season? I'd like to think that the two of them could have brought us at least 4-5 more wins during that beginning stretch. Remember neither of them have even been through a training camp with us. Lets say that TT accepts the qualifying offer, and hell lets say Felton comes back. Then lets say we add a role player or two like Flip and somebody else. We essentially have the same team as last year but honestly guys I don't think that's such a bad thing. Obviously some teams are going to get better (particularly the one's that add Lebron, Bosh, and co.) But also consider this, a lot of these top FAs are from the East, so even if they all go to a new team in the East, their former team is going to suffer.
While other teams get better or worse, we stay the same, a 44 win team that was at times the best defensive team in the league, that went 3-1 against Cleveland, that was the best team in the league for the month of January, coached by one of the greatest coaches in the history of the game.
Now is not that time to panic. Patience is key right now, lets see how things play out for the rest of the off-season, then we can evaluate the East and see where we stand.

Well you tried, but a lot of fans won't see what you're seeing (sadly).

Thank the Lord we won't have to pay some 2nd Round rookie some money just to sit on the bench the whole season. Coach Brown will hardly give guys like Henderson and Ajinca any playing time, so why ache for some more "young talent" to develop when Coach doesn't want to play them... I like what the Bobcats did in this draft.

Why are we panicking? I'm certainly not. I'm actually looking forward to next season. We've invited some good talent into our SL team, TT is close to being resigned, the PG issue will definately be resolved with either us trading to get a PG or getting a newbie (Ishmail, Torrance, etc.). We got two gun up and coming players in UPS and Hendo, both who can play good D, great athletically and have good BBallIQ. We have a returning All-star, a SG caliber All-star, an untested Frenchie whos season will either be awesome, solid or pretty darn bad. We will most likely have TC who will be finally healthy for the first time in like his career. We also have big expirings in TC and Mohammed.
Only crap thing is that we have a scrub like Hughes likely to be resigned and Diop who's taking up cap space. I would say we're doing pretty good for ourselves, considering how crap we've been previously.

Well most of the "panic" I'm seeing is coming from the Pre-Draft rumors thread, I'm seeing a lot of people getting upset we didn't make any trades during the draft and are starting to panic that the East is going to get too good for us. Glad to see you feel the same way I do.

IMO this draft had to be better than most of the other ones as we weren't able to screw it up.

If i had a second round pick i would have taken mikhail torrance, we got him anyway without giving anything away or losin anyone. I would say that was pretty dran successful!!! Plus he doesnt have a guranteed contract!
