Hey guys

Diaw is often mentioned as being a valuable player to Toronto and Bryan Colangelo. What about offering Diaw to Toronto to the Raptors for Jarrett Jack and Reggie Evans? Toronto is trying to move Jack, who has 3 years left I believe on his deal. This gives Toronto a starting 4 (I am assuming Bosh is gone), letting Ed Davis develop for a year. Then next year Toronto could use Diaw as an expiring contract to improve their team. For Charlotte, this trade allows TT to start, and gives us a tough backup at the 4 spot. Also gives us a starter in Jack, who had very similiar to numbers as Felton last year, but would be much cheaper. Thoughts?

Felton (33 minutes per game) 12.1 points, 5.6 assists, 2.1 turnovers, FG% .459, 3PT FG% .385

Jack (27.4 minutes per game) 11.4 points, 5.0 assists, 2.0 turnovers, FG% .481, 3PT FG% .412

Hey!

Next time you have a trade idea please put in front of it some sort of disclaimer...or try our existing "off season moves" thread.

When I first saw it my first thought was "Sunofabitch and send me to hell, we traded for Caleron".

I'd do that trade and it could very well be the off season move we make. If we trade for Caleron instead (most likely knowing our FO) then like with TJ Ford...just shoot me now.

i would definitely do this!...the best part about this, is that we would still have tyson and nazy's huge expiring! at the deadline we could make a pretty big move with tyson's especially...possibly for al jefferson or something like that...id make this move for sure

I don't see how this trade would help us. Jack is solid, but we would have no power forward left on this team, and Evans can't play the game of basketball at all

What about this trade, it works for me and involves the Raps and Wolves

Nazr would have to replace Diop because I don't see anyone take on his contract.

No reason why Minnesota would do that.

Maybe Kahn likes being dominated?

Mr. TH, adjusting your trade, here's something a little more even.
(Haven't decided whether or not I advocate it, but I think there's at least reasons every team would do it.)

Not only would that push Minnesota's payroll above 97 million dollars. But Jackson and Hedo conflict directly with their two new wings (Wesley Johnson and Martell Webster).

I saw on RealGM where the Pistons were looking to move Maxiell...I'm not in love with his contract, but it's not terrible. I do like what he brings to the table and I think LB would too. I don't imagine Diaw would do that much for them, but hey, you never know. I could think of far worse PF rotations than Thomas/Maxiell.

And why would we do that, they just got Webster so no need for Jax. They are considering or have talked about Zach Randolph they are reported to be high on Milicic and wanting to resign him, Nazr would be the perfect backup while getting and expiring at the same time.

That's on this year's payroll. It'd move them 3 million closer to the cap, but they'd still have about 7-10 mil in cap space.

But yeah, they don't need or want Hedo AND Stack Jack.

Nice effort mate but I don't see it happening one bit. Would be better if you came up with a trade that is far more likely to happen. Because if Minny GM did that he would get fired instantly on the spot.

Thoughts on this one,
Jefferson , Sessions,

DJ, Diaw , Nazz,

Reasons ,
Minny , Nazz A hudge up grade over Hollins, and a expiring
DJ, very good back up point . Lets Flynn know hes the man , nice contract.
Diaw Solid sixth man for debth , Nice colplyment to Love , Webster, Can play the two three and four ,
Randolph and Love toghter . That fit is worse than JEFFERSON.

Reasons
We get a all star type center,
A larger point who can run the floor
Though we are getting killed on contract lynth.

Sessions would likely start for us.

They might do that if we toss in Lexy or UPS? I don't know. It's worth it to me.

We save about a milion like i set it up . Only other value we could give would be a 2nd or take on another contract . Mabe Hollins

That would define Minny , Give them direction , and contract flexability.
They might even be instrested in a s+t for Felton , They have lots of cap room to work with. Chandler might be a good fit for them all so . Him and Love seems like a good fit toghter .

They might as well rename the Target Center to Point Guards-R-Us

Any trades with Toronto will happen AFTER the Chris Bosh situation is settled. If Bosh is a businessman, he will work a sign and trade. That would leave Toronto with more players on their roster and those players could cause Toronto to seek another trade to balance the roster. That's where we come in. I can't see Toronto doing anything before the Bosh situation clears.

On a related note, it seems Miami has closed off that option for FAs. If LBJ, Bosh or the rest want to play in Miami with Wade, they will have to give up their Bird rights and end up making LESS than Wade because Miami is out of contracts to use in a sign and trade.
