Josh Howard is a free agent, had acouple of years of injury and a poor shooting year after he came back this past season. However these would all contribute to him perhaps being cheaper than expected, he is only 2 years gone from averaging 20 points & 7 rebounds. Plus he can play SG or SF, might help reduce jax & GW minutes?
Just a thought and there is NOTHING else to talk about atm so thought i may aswell start something which may draw interest

If he'd be willing to take a lesser salary and a reduced role, then I think he'd be a nice addition. Since he's been a starter and received that type of money recently in his career, I don't know how he'd accept either one of those things. Not saying he wouldn't, just that I don't know how he'd take to it. The injury is also a concern, but as a reserve at the right price, I'd go for it.

He would want more than we can offer
If we don't re-sign Ray, Tyson opts out, AND Tyrus gets a lesser salary than the QO, we might be able to afford him with a long ass MLE.
Other than that, just a dream.

If TC opted out i would much rather have Ray in his prime
Our odds are much better signing Miles and Williams
Witch i think will happen .

He can't stay healthy and plays Jax' and Crash's position. Moreover, I want UPS and Hendo to get some playing time.
Just sign Flip as a backup SG for the minimum and we are fine

ditto.......
I'd rather have UPS getting those minutes than Howard. I hope he can get back to form though, when he's healthy he's a great wing player.

I dislike Howard a lot, and it would be hard to look past him not standing up for the national anthem. He just does not get it and never will. He can play good iso basketball, but if he signed with the team I'd have a hard time watching the Bobcats again. I am all for forgiveness when the player deserves it but Howard does not.

I think he should listen to his ankles and retire.
Maybe his injures haven't really been all that bad and he has been taking some personal time to poke some smot but either way I don't want him.

Even if he was free, no thanks.

I dont want him here, either. But for free, well, I'd have to strongly reconsider. But that might be the only way.

Josh Howard being so close to home would equal disaster. Seems every time the kids goes home he's getting into trouble.

Would that count for CP3?

I think Paul has the sense not to be drag racing and smoking weed while at home in Winston Salem...but I could be wrong. :p

No he doesn't.

No he doesn't.
What makes you say that? Beside the time he punched Julius Hodge in the nuts, Paul has never shown any signs of having a negative personality. Even that incident can be chalked up to him being very competitive and at that time he was less mature, so it can be forgiven. But since Paul has been in the NBA, he has been a leader on the court and a civil servant in the community. I have seen so many examples of Paul helping people in New Orleans and in Winston Salem that i find what you said laughable. Maybe you should think a little bit more before you type and add foundation to your statements.
Getting Chris Paul would be the greatest thing to happen to the Bobcats franchise since it was founded by Bob Johnson.

CP3 is a class act and is widely respected around the entire NBA community. There are no doubts about his upstanding nature.
As for punching Julius Hodge in the satchel. Paul with to Wake, Hodge went to NC State. You figure it out
