View Full Version : Wow, Miami, how understated of you

Ever since the questions about where Lebron would be playing started popping up a few years ago, I found him to be unbelievably full of himself and arrogant. Well, after seeing what the Miami did last night, it appears it didn't take long for it to rub off on the entire organization.

I mean, they realize OTHER TEAMS can see and hear this mess, right? The arrogance of the organization...this looked like WWE Raw and was well beyond ridiculous. I didn't want Lebron to be successful when he made his announcement, but after seeing that...I can't stand the Miami Heat now. It's been a good while since I've genuinely hated a team, but they've made it very easy.

They're acting like they just won a championship. This is stupid. THEY HAVEN'T WON A SINGLE GAME YET.

That whole thing with LeBron, D-Wade, and Bosh showing up in their Heat uniforms was incredibly tacky and tasteless, in my humble opinion.

I really had no problem with LeBron until this "Pro Wrestling" stunt the day after his decision. I didn't really like his demeanor and some of the things he said up there next to Wade and Bosh.

But I also thought that stuff the Cleveland official said after "The Decision" was totally classless and out-of-line for a professional person. All LeBron did was make a choice that was best for him. He gave Cleveland 7 great years. Get over it Cleveland! The state of Ohio doesn't own LeBron James any more than the Rowan County, the place where I largely grew up, owns me--Thank God!

But back to Miami: So many things have to go right to win a championship. These guys are getting WAY ahead of themselves. They don't even have their starting 5 yet. Also, one injury to the Big 3, and BOOM, they could be out of contention relying on a bunch of minimum salary guys.

They are going to get a ton of hate... But they are going to be phenomenally good. I see them easily winning 68 games next season

I dont see them winning 68 games "easily". Maybe 60 games, but those 3 guys alone with no real bench and no team unity of having played together at all? No, they will have some growing pains here and there. And a team with depth that can go 8-9 deep every night will be able to take advantage of Miami's weaknesses. Don't get me wrong, they are the favorite in the East, but they will be in a war with Orlando and Boston all the way. The rest of us are fighting for 4th in the East.

Ohara, If you live in the Charlotte area I will wager you a cold beverage at the pub of your choice on the Heat reaching 68 wins next season.

Those 3 are so talented that I think they could lose any one of them with an injury for 40 games and still reach 60 wins.

Were I over 21 I would get in on that.

I don't even know if they win 55 games. It's going to be Wade, Bosh, MeBron, and maybe Mike Miller. Other than that? Scrubsssss.

Teej,

You or I could suit up with Wade, Lebron, Bosh & Miller and win 60 games.

They are going to be impossible to stop offensively. Who do you double? Who do you guard with your second best defender? Are you going to help defensively when bosh gets the ball in the paint.

I'm not a Heat fan, But that is going to be some of the most amazing basketball since the Showtime Lakers.

Miller has agreed to the deal. They're also bringing Udonis Haslem back (thanks to the S&T's for Bron and Bosh).

Wade
Miller
LeBum
Bosh
Haslem

easily the best starting lineup in the league. They've also offered Derek Fisher and Big Z contracts. Add in Dexter Pittmen, Da'Sean Butler, Latavious Williams, and Jarvis Varnado and they'll potentially have a pretty damn goood team.

Wade/Chalmers/Torrance
Wade/Miller/Butler
LeBum/Butler/Williams
Bosh/Haslem/Williams
Haslem/Big Z/Pittman

If they end up with that roster, they'll win 66 games.

Not sure about pairing Haslem with Bosh. Need a little more size up there on that front line, in my humble opinion.

Only team I really see abusing Haslem and Bosh is Gasol and Bynum with their length. Other names come to mind such as Howard/Lewis but Lewis is soft in the post and Garnett/Perkins except Garnett is older and Perkins has an offensive game almost as bad as Chandler. I think they could get by, since Haslem is a strong defender.

I don't see the Heat beating the Lakers in a 7 game Series.

I do like how Durant quietly signed a long term deal with the Thunder. That team just keeps making all the right moves and is going to be deadly for a long time.
