I think most of us are happy to have one of our faves back but two things are in the back of my mind.

Matt looked lost in LB's system. Granted that was early on but I still remember it.

Is Henderson another wasted lottery pick? He is working too hard and improving too much to be buried on the bench for another season (or two).

Here's what I see:

Steven Jackson: 30MPG at SG, 5 at SF
Crash 30MPG at SF, 5 at PF
Henderson: 10 at SG, 10 at SF (give or take a few minutes)

I think Henderson will be the 6th man, with Matt the 9th or 10th man on the bench in the Flip Murray role....unfortunately he can't play much point, but hopefully that's where Diaw or Jackson come into play.

I agree with most of you guys and am really excited to have Matt back.

If used correctly, then his contract isn't really that bad at all.

Also, as far as Henderson's PT goes, I don't really see it as a problem. Henderson and Carroll are complete polar opposites and bring 2 entirely different skill sets to the floor. I personally see them co-existing very well depending on the situation.
Hopefully, LB sees it the same way.

If he can knock down shots like he did when we fell in love with him, he can be useful; if he throws up clunkers like he did his half season with Larry before being traded, I guess he'll fit right in with Henderson :rolleyes:

On the other hand, sad to see you go, Lex. Liked you since day one, and was rooting for you, but I don't know if you had the fire and desire to improve I thought you would have. Hope you can find a niche in the league, but if not, maybe you can get it done back home in France or Europe. You were always cool to me when we met, and for that, I'll pull for you wherever you're playing, bud!

I'm thrilled that Matt's back. Loved him while he was here and look forward to what he can bring. I know he wasn't shooting very well before he got traded, but I also remember LB saying that he needed to get Matt minutes. So now, I think that opportunity for minutes is there and it doesn't have to be at Henderson's expense. I think Henderson can fill in at SF some and let Matt have his time at SG. We all know we need someone who can hit from the outside and we've all seen Matt do that.

One comment on Matt coming back..... Last time he was here, he didn't get a lot of burn but, I think that was because of the duplication of skill set with he and AMMO and we had a vested interest in playing AMMO..

Hopefully, Matt can prove worthy of his contract and knock down some big shoots and spread the floor (as long as he doesn't cut into Geralds progress)

I replied to BJ Evans that they should involve the media, include some prizes for the fans...like a #13 jersey. Heck it's the summer, the sports reporters need something to do.

A couple years ago Matt was playing in a tournament I helped organize and he got a text during the round from Nazr (who was playing golf in another state at the time)...Nazr had just made a hole-in-one.

Welcome back Matt. Here's to hoping the last ending was really due to us being committed to Ammo and not that you're totally against what LB likes in a player. I have my doubts and am very afraid that you'll just be joining Gana at the end of the bench in street clothes more times than not.

He's a really nice guy. He signed some stuff for me and the boy a couple years back and he was by far the most talkative I've met.
