We better get a HUGE name back with Erica's contract, as has been mentioned a million times now, we pretty much have defeated the purpose of the salary dump by taking on Carroll and Najera.

We could've gotten an outside shooter/scorer in Hamilton...

Hamilton and I doubt Prince would like coming off the bench

Hamilton and Prince would have come off the bench and would only be extras...they would have also added to our long term payroll and kept us further out of cap space for years to come...the trade we made allowed us to get 2 decent bench players as well as money to bring in a center and/or point guard either by free agency or by trade... It also made Diaw expendable and we could revisit trading him for a point guard or center. Personally I like what we've done so far...now we just need to add to it

I don't think Rip Hamilton would have wanted to come to Charlotte. He would have been wanting to be traded by the end of pre-season. He was afraid when he played with M.J. in Washington, so do you really think he would want to play for him? Wasn't it 2 years ago that Joe Dumars was making a joke out of the Bobcats having all this cap room and they basically wasted it. Sending Chandler to the Western Conference in case he somehow makes it through a whole season and plays well is a good thing.

Those guys are good players but just don't fit a need. I think Rip would be a better fit in some ways then Jackson because he is more about moving without the ball and catch and shoot, similar to Raja. Jackson's contract is way better then Rips toxic contract though.

Doubt they offered Prince straight up. He is a decent asset but with Wallace and Tyrus Thomas already on board would it really make sense to add him anyway.

Couldn't have said it better myself guys.

We don't need Rip or Tayshaun given that they would be bench players and their contracts are rediculous.

Now it would have been interesting if they offered Stuckey but I doubt that was even brought up.

Like both, just not on our team. Do they still have that Billups guy? There's a real PG.... :)

LB probably didn't want the deal unless they included Lindsay Hunter (I think he was with the Bulls his last year though)
