Man I wanted to believe the guys, but if their sources hadn't told them any viable info before about potential trades and signings, why would you go on the internet posting shit that you have no confidence in due to past info?

These 'sources' could've been summer interns. At TWC, a ticket sales intern is taking a piss... Guy walks in, takes his piss... Both are washing their hands when the awkward bathroom small talk starts which eventually leads to, "this is what I'm hearing man, but don't say anything..."

Then both guys go on to tell other people saying don't tell anyone else. And as they even mentioned, often teams put out misinformation to throw other teams off the trail. So why wouldn't they do it with their own employees knowing they'll run their mouth.

Odds are, both guys at ROF knew 2 different low level guys who were given such misinformation. It's not their fault for getting excited about it, we all have had similar experiences... BUT, it is extremely irresponsible and insensitive to post it on an internet discussion board/blog for 2 days and expect that it's just gonna stay in your little circle jerk.

I'm not trying to talk shit about them, and I hope they're right, but it's looking like they're not. Then for the guy to bail out of it now... SMH... Yeah, you got my vote for credibility. People talking shit b/c you unintentionally led them on is part of the territory.

I think Dampier can be traded for Paul straight up. We could get around the rule by doing two simultaneous trades: Dampier for Paul and then whatever NO would want to make them happy.

I don't know about all of the trade rumors, but it's at least possible.

Yeah, as I've said, I haven't contacted directly with any of them. I did have to wait 24 hours b/c I created a new account with SB Nation rather than signing in using facebook or yahoo, so I couldn't post anything. There is no real information. Two guys on another fan site were claiming to have information on a "huge" deal that would make us a contender. So far, those claims haven't come to fruition. Due to that, a lot of people have been sending them nasty messages and emails and the entire ROF site has grown really defensive.

I just don't want the e-arguing to spill over onto this forum. If they don't like how some guys are handling the news then let them complain about it there. If you don't like the fact that nothing have materialized from their sources, then please leave it here and stay away from that site.

Is it arrogant of me to feel sorry for the poor bastards who rip themselves apart over mere numbers, should I simply savour my ignorant approach and ignore the mayhem or, perhaps, join the verbal massacre?

I can't say exactly why, but this is the first time I cringe while slamming the BCP hotkey on my keyboard.
