How happy would you be if we landed any of these players n traded diaw and dampier ?
Delonte West
Louis Williams
Devin Harris
Gilbert Arenas
Or are we set at PG ?
Edit: Anyone think any of these are realistic ? G
I would trade for D. West... plays hard, good team player, good D, and decent jumper....
Also cavs were trying to get K. Lowry and R. Sessions, so D. West looks like he's available... With LBJ gone can Diaw play the 3 or switch with Jamison ??

I would take any of them except Delonte because he's not a real pg. i guess you could make that argument for Williams too, but I like Lou more than West.
I would only take Arenas if we knew that he would be 100% healthy going into the season.

yea if they gave us blatche and some picks, trading damp and diaw, possibly carrole. might be reasonable... still agent 0 makes 22 in the final year 4 years from now...
and they'd have to take diop

I just dont know if Arenas is healthy...thats my only problem with him. As long as he's healthey he's one of the top pg in the league. I dont care how much he is paid if he can play up to his full potential.
PS: OT but is my Avatar and sig coming up on your guys screen? Its not on mine! lol

yea if we're paying diop, diaw, and carrole close to 20 mill , why not just take gilbert who would fill a need...
blatche is nice... with a good defensive system blatch can get u 10+ rbds and 1.5 blocks...

Can Blatche play C though? TT or Blatche would have to play C, I would rather trade for McGee

I'd take Williams and/or Harris, but only for the right pieces. I'm not a big fan of Arenas...too injured and in too much trouble, I don't want that in Charlotte. If we bring West in he'll just bang everyones mother

he's 6'11... averaged 14 n 6 last season in 28 mins...
he's only 24 and makes 3.2 and 3.5 mill

Lou is just a shorter version of Flip. He is a 2 guard that is too small.
West is just a no. Too many reasons to list.
What i said for West is the same with Blache. Neither are high charter guys and neither are good teammates.

Lou Williams would be a nice energy guy off the bench. Not worth what was suggested though.
The Nets have zero PG depth so they won't trade him unless they get DJ in return.
Hellllll no to Delonte.
Gil would be nice. Not his contact. Why are you guys concerned about his health? He was fine last year, only reason he lost PT was because of that gun situation. He's a great player but simply gets paid too much for me to welcome him unless we lose Diop in the process.

Gilbert is an attractive option because we could get a 22/5/7 player and probably dump a bad contract or two of ours onto the Wiz (think Diop). Though I can't imagine Jackson or Wallace taking kindly to getting their shoes pooped in.

Arenas was on a tear before getting suspended last year. He should be healthy for the most part, but that contract...

If Gilbert is 100% healthy then its not even a bad contract. And with his troubles, droppin Diop on the Wiz for him would be a steal. Gil isn't some chucker that got 25++ppg on bad teams, they were always in the playoffs.
I would love to get Devin Harris.
Arenas would be a gamble but with his production, I would be willing to take a chance, depending on the price though.
Lou Williams will make too much to be a back up and even as a backup I'm still not sold completely on him.
No way to Delonte West. No. No. No. No. No.

I agree with this one. But with Arenas, I would also try to sweeten the deal enough to get Blatche in Charlotte. That would be a sweet addition.
LeBron may be going south, but his mom is going West!
I want Delonte like I want 12 different STD's at the same time...wait, same thing.

It's the old rule of you only have one knucklehead on the team.
Jack is half a knucklehead, Tyrus is maybe 3/4 of one, Delonte is 5 knuckleheads.

Jack's only a knucklehead in that he does stupid things to protect his friends and family.
Tyrus is a knucklehead in that he can only play for a coach who doesn't try to change him, and probably has a few screws loose upstairs.
But I love both of them.

I could see a Boris for Delonte trade. That allows Cleveland to go with Jamison and Diaw at the forwrd spots. That trade instantly saves us 4.5 mm. Because cleveland is under the cap (I think) they can absorb the extra salary.
Delonte's contract is only 500k guaranteed, so we can just cut him and turn the savings into 9mm. Couple that with Dampier and our 77mm payroll can turn into 58mm.
I like your idea on trading Diaw for West but why would they wanna add 9 mil to payroll for Diaws sorry ass.

Diaw is the best passing PF available and with Lebron gone someone needs to pass the ball. Yes i know Mo Williams was the PG, but there are not many SF/PF that can pass like Lebron did. diaw is at least good at that. Plus I don't think Delonte West is a real liked person by Cavs teammates and management. I still wouldn't want Delonte other than to cut him.

if you can convince the cavs of that idea, you need a job somewhere.
also, they don't do it because it keeps hickson on the bench and he is going to play this year.

Hahaha, this is becoming quite annoying! I'll be going thru a thread and composing my thoughts while reading others...then getting near the end I'll have what I want to say all figured out and here you are pretty much saying exactly what I was going to!
Can't tell you how many times I've went to rep you and it says I have to spread the love.
I wouldn't trade for Delonte but I'd sure trade for his CONTRACT. We're all hoping Jordan will trade Dampier for something good...but at the end of the day we have to remember that he appears to only be willing to pay the tax for a contending team. Getting more cap relief in moves like this would only help our chances of actually improving this season if the stars don't align.
Hell yes on Harris and I'd easily give DJ (and more) up for him.
Lou if we didn't have DJ, but I don't like his contract so I'd just as soon stay with what we have.
