From bobcats.com

Dampier's is here: http://www.nba.com/bobcats/erick_dampier_trade_100716.html

He seems like a pretty cool guy, depending on how things work he could help us out.

Najera's here: http://www.nba.com/bobcats/eduardo_najera_trade_100716.html

He's probably the most likely to help out, if Diaw is moved. Seems like a cool guy.

And the Hammer's interview can be found here: http://www.nba.com/bobcats/matt_carroll_trade_100716.html

Love that guy.

I'm looking on DX at salaries and it says there that Najera's salary is "partially unguaranteed" for next season. Anyone know the particulars of that?

He signed a four year deal with the 1st two years guaranteed and the last two partially guaranteed because a team could wave him after the 1st two. Since he wasn't waived by June 30th this year, the final two years are now guaranteed.

However, according to here
http://www.rockymountainnews.com/news/2008/jul/11/nuggets-lose-najera-nets/

the breakdown of his final two years is 2.8 & 2.6 million. Tam's site has it as 3 & 2.75 million meaning his contract might have been a little more frontloaded than he (Tam) thought.

Where did you get the part about the last 2 years unguaranteed, and esp. this part:

Since he wasn't waived by June 30th this year, the final two years are now guaranteed

That's kind of unusual isn't it? I did notice on DX the last two years were not guaranteed but assumed they had already picked up the option for the upcoming year. I didn't realize they only had one shot at it.

Thanks BTW...+1.

2010-11 and 2011-12 are now fully guaranteed since he was not waived before 6/30/10 / Signed 7/16/08 for an assumed $12,000,000 for 4 years

From Tam's site

Also, because the Mavs did not waive Najera prior to June 30th, his salary for the next two seasons is completely guaranteed.
